Has any season ticket holder here in the upper 400 level actually been upgraded and moved down to the lower level. This is without joining and tailgate or touchdown club.
Also, has any lower level season ticket holder here been upgraded to seats in 101,102, 120 - 123, 141 or 142?

Yes i have acually.
After the first season FedEx opened, i submitted a letter to the Redskins asking to be moved to the lower level, and had explained to them the reason we wanted to move down was because my father had surgery, and it was difficult for him to walk up the ramps to the upper deck (they didnt have the escalators yet) about a month later, viola, section 112. We only had 2 tickets at the time, but after the next season, the Redskins called and said, the gentlemen next to you only had one seat, and he doesnt want to renew, would you like the ticket?
Umm does a bear **** in the woods? :)

I think what he was getting at is has anybody been upgraded from the upper bowl to the lower since the tailgate club started, without joining it.

The was a thread about this last year. The conclusion was nobody has moved from upper to lower levels since Snyder took over, unless they bought obstructed/limited view seats, or unless they bought tailgate club seats. In addition, the sections you mentioned are pretty much unobtainable from the Redskins as an upgrade, even if you're already downstairs.

I've been upgraded twice in 6 years. I started in the 400 level and moved to the partially obstructed 218 level 2 years ago. 2 weeks ago I just upgraded to sect 106 row 3. I have not joined Tailgate club either.

How did you pull that off? :)

If I may cut in:
He pulled it off because the Redskins made offers to existing season ticket holders to "upgrade" to new seats in the 200 level under the club level for $69 in June 2004 that were not installed, and tried to describe them to buyers verbally. When the buyers actually sat in the seats in August 2004, they found the seats' view was grossly exaggerated, either on purpose or by incompetence. People who were told they would see two goalposts with a slight endzone obstruction instead found a pillar blocking the middle of the field. Fans were angry, and felt they had been misled. When they complained, they were told very explicitly "No refunds." Then about ten days later amidst growing outrage, the Redskins finally offered refunds, but also offered a guarantee that unsatisfied fans who would be willing to stay would be guaranteed an upgrade within two years of at least three rows forward.
It's been two years. That's how he got the upgrade.
What the Redskins did not tell the obtructed view fans is that the upgrade will almost certainly involve moving towards the endzone one, two, or three sections. Maybe more. I find this sleazy and very Snyderish.
But, they did drop the price on the obstructed view seats by more than half. That helps.

Basically I kept bugging them to upgrade. They did upgrade me last year 1 row and about 7 seats to the left which helped the view. When I found out my buddy got to pick his seats in the section to the left of mine, with no obstruction, I emailed several more times. Their response was they would do upgrades after payment for this year was recieved in full. I told them I was very interested and I would be willing to go to FedEx and pick better seats in the 200 section.
About 3 weeks ago I get a call that they have 3 seats available in sect 106 if I wanted them..I jumped on them.
Persistence is the key.

I got my season tickets four years ago (after being on the waiting list for 19 years.). My original seats were in Section 410, top row. Three years later, I've moved over one section (411) and down 14 rows. Not complaining, though!
