Interesting...

On Eddie Jordan’s contract status:
“We said from Day One that we’re going to have internal meetings -- and those meetings have already started. Eddie’s going to get an extension. That situation is going to be resolved and he’ll be our coach next year and for years to come after that.”

HUGE RELIEFE!!!!!!!!!!! Gilbert said he wanted EJ to be around and now he will be. hopefully this will help get arenas to sign an extension, and ultimately bring us closer to a championship.

I don't hate Jordan as much as a lot of people do. I have called for him to be fired, a little presumptuous I do admit.

I think him and Grunfeld are on the same page and that makes me very happy. Grunfeld could have fired him at that point, but he didn't. Remember, Grunfeld never hired Jordan.

Should be interesting. I think the two along with Arenas can be the best thing to happen to Washington Basketball in a long long time.

Well, my first choice would have been to let him coach out his contract. If we sign him, that doesn't answer the biggest questions which are, while he be able to become a great game time coach or will he continue to be slow to make the right adjustments because he is more of a players coach then big game winning coach.

I still hate the line ups he played on those defensive playoff plays and like many, I dont agree with the line ups he chooses enough of the time.

Sign him or not doesnt change his weaknesses. I sure hope if we do sign him that he is smart enough and has enough balls to look real closely in the mirror and make the changes with in himself and his decissions that need to be made.

I wouldnt be real happy to see him go nor am I going to jump for joy if he stays. If we let him go, we are in transition and dont know what we are going to get. Even if its better, it would likely take a year to find out. If he stays, Im still waiting for him to prove he wont make the same mistakes, so that a question. Ive seen his weaknesses. Will he get better, who knows. If he is waiting till he has the perfect line up of players, then that wouldnt be great coaching.
