From Southern Pigskin; a comparison of the ACC and SEC.
http://www.southernpigskin.com/page.cfm?story=11171&cat=exclusives
Most Enthusiastic
ACC
1. Virginia Tech – Lane Stadium isn’t the biggest venue in the ACC but it just might be the most imposing. Pound for pound, Hokie fans are as passionate as any group in the country. They’re loud, relentless and overbearing – and they travel. Last December, the Virginia Tech faithful outnumbered Florida State fans at the ACC Championship game in Jacksonville, Florida.
2. Clemson – They don’t call Memorial Stadium “Death Valley” for no reason. Tiger fans show up in droves and create a sea of orange wherever they go. The Clemson faithful have one of the largest and most powerful booster clubs in all of college football and therefore support their program financially as well as any. Clemson fans are similar to those at the power schools in the SEC in many aspects.
3. Florida State – Thanks in part to their unprecedented successes, Florida State has a powerful, national fan base. Doak Campbell Stadium is full to the brim every Saturday – the Seminoles went almost ten years without losing in front of their home fans (September 16th, 1991 to October 13th 2001). Seeing 80,000+ do the warchant in unison is quite an intimidating sight.

The 55-6 Thursday night game in 2004? That was far from "meh"

Yeah, it was that blowout. The tailgating was weak, especially for a night game. The first half was rocking pretty good, the 2nd half, well, it was a blowout, so it was very meh.

Weak Schmeak. Why were you even attending a VT/MD game in Blacksburg anyway?
What a wasted ticket.

Anyways,
Yes, the tailgating was weak. The first half of the game, the crowd was good, the second half, it died down a lot. Its understandable, the game was a blowout. Stop being so defensive. Sheesh.

Well when you respond to an article talking about VT being the top crowd in the ACC with a "meh" we are gonna jump all over your ass and ask what the hell you are smoking. It shows your inferiority complex more and more
Especially that game. 41-3 at halftime, yea I think by the 3rd quarter kickoff everyone was trying to figure out what bar to go to or spitting game for the Thursday night booty call then watch the Sean Glennon hand off to John Candelas show

Yeah it was like the first sporting event that I've been to that I didn't pay attention to the end of the game bc it was way out of hand. Loved the first half and just walked around meeting groups of buddies and laughing at how bad the terps were.
I've been to Mountaineer field and it's less than "MEH" The women talk more smack than the guys. Just messin, It was pretty good but it doesn't even come close to how "wild" Lane stadium gets.

I think pretty much everybody but those with a blind hatred for VT knew that game was going to be a blow out, even MD fans. We win and win big on Thursday nights in the 'Burg.
And what makes you think I would even remotely care enough to remember that you have friends who went to VT? My bad. Friends or no friends, an 'eer fan traveling to the Burg for a Thursday night game is what's weak, not the tailgate. Did you take a vacation day? Were you sportin' your Bulger WVU jersey?
How long did it take you to search for those links anyway? Not as long as the drive down to Blacksburg I hope.

Still with the inferiority complex? Come on, look around. Every WVU thread is instantly invaded by the Hokie crowd, a GOOD chunk of the VT threads are left alone.
