There is no reason why he should be higher than Smith or Johnson.
I don't get why Bob Sanders is there. I am not saying ST should be, but Sanders? Also how is Marcus Washington not on there? His salary is low and has been a great performer for two straight years.
The rest looks good to me. Remember folks, our D is about the system and smarts, not so much about overall talent.

John Clayton is the man and I see nothing wrong with his roster. I read the chat for it and he explains everything in detail. He pretty much had to be under the cap and get the BPA for their respective price tags

theres nothing wrong with the roster but I believe that Taylor belonged in the safety mix and jansen and samuels belong on that roster too

I think the point of the article was to get cost effective players at every position except for the marquee positions like QB, WR, and DE. Most Redskins starters are pretty well compensated. Sean Taylor probably costs 5 times what Bob Sanders does. Clayton's not saying that Sanders is better than Taylor, just a better fit salary wise on his dream team.

Looks as though John decided for cap reasons to skimp when it came to the OLB's. It's the only explaination for MW not making the list!

This roster has no legitimacy. With Manning at the helm, Clayton's team wouldn't advance past the 2nd round of the playoffs. He's America's favorite choke artist.
Brady should be the pick for anyone who knows anything. Scratch the cheaper. It should start with Tom Brady, and THEN worry about the rest. I know this is all hypothetical, but he's won Super Bowls with average offensive talent around him.

I guess thats why im scratching my head. Because I thought his salary this year was like 2 mill.
I must be wrong if thats the case.
Otherwise I thought the roster looked pretty legit.

I figured ol' 98 would make the cut if he's talking about bang for the buck at LB. But, I guess not.

This roster was based on getting UNDER a salary cap, not simply the best players at each position. Manning is a deal because he's not as highly paid this season. You guys are ignoring Clayton's whole point so don't get too angry about any Redskins being left off. It's all about talent for the price.

Brady's cap # this year is 5 million more than Peyton's. He was trying to get the best bang for the buck.

I get that much, and it doesn't matter at all. Screw cap figures, would you rather have $5 million or a QB that can actually win big games?
