I am tired of being an also ran in this league. Chicago made a bunch of moves to get better this offseason...so did Portland and several other teams. We may get bumped from the playoffs by Chicago or Cleveland this year. Our team seems content with the first round of the playoffs. Get rid of our no talent players like Haywood, Etan, and JJ and bring in quality guys that wont take games off. If we hit the Wizards where they live then they will have to get some talent in here.

Whatever dude your on your own on that one... I have season tix and I'll be at every game... count on it! The Wiz DO have talent. Do I really need to start name dropping? This is a great time to be a Wiz fan we are finally relevant again after nearly 20 years of being a laughing stock... This team is on the rise not stepping backwards.

Really? Are we seeing the same team that got eliminated from the playoffs last year in the first round instead of the second the year before and has only signed Song this offseason and that still has Haywood and Etan on the roster for too much money and may keep another bum in JJ for too much money and refuses to step up to the plate for a big man every year even when they were available for trade or signing and that refuses to compete in the offseason with other teams in the conference? I swear that is the team I am watching.

Are you watching the team with alot of heart and promise and upcoming talent that might or might not pan out and pinning your hopes on question marks instead of reality?

I wish for the best for our team. I hope Blatche doing well in summer league bodes well for us but I cant even have faith in that. Alot of people have done incredibly against summer league talent and done badly in the regular season. Opie has alot of promise but is getting sent to Europe...like Navarro....and will never be heard from again.....like Navarro. We need guys like Opie and Blatche to play major minutes and get tested in this league. They might turn out great since they actually have a work ethic....unlike Haywood and Etan. But Etan and Haywood are such marvelous players (that love to take nights off) that they stay in the lineup taking up cap room and hurting our chances of ever succeeding in the playoffs and regular season.

For now we need a couple of bigs that are veterans and are quality guys that can split time with the younger guys and teach them what it means to to be good in the NBA.

EG wont get us that. Not now. Not ever.
He is too lazy to get off his posterior and get us the bigs we need.
He only likes G's and SF's.
That is the way he drafts and trades.
We dont need that.
Get an assistant who knows how to handle drafting and trading for bigs or get rid of EG.

Its simple, if you want to wait to get tickets go ahead, but dont argue with people who want to get them..Simple to solve really.

What bigs? Come on, name me some super talented megastars that we could have acquired.

Oh yeah I forget, we had the chance to trade Etan, Hayes, and Ruffin for KG.

In the last few years we have had as much chance as anyone of acquiring a good big man....Miami was nothing before Shaq....and had only a few good players but their GM knew how to draft and spend money for good talent and get a proven coach that knows how to win.....If they can do it why cant we?

So name me some big men we could have gotten.

Riley overhauled his roster because he had more assets than Grunfeld does. That is fact. But even if he didn't, my guess is that they'd still win it all this year. The only reason they lost to Detroit last year was because of injuries to Wade and Shaq.

I'm aware you're frustrated. I'd love to make a big move to bring in a KG or Jerm O'Neal but it just ain't happening. We have to think realistically. Quality big men don't just grow on trees.

We have worse talent becaue we dont know how to draft or trade....people make supid trades all the time...why cant we be on the positive end for once?... Because our FO is awful and our owner is cheap.

How about getting Caron for Kwame Brown?

Or Jamison for Stackhouse?

Those have worked out pretty well, wouldn't you say? We've made the playoffs 2 years in a row for the 1st time in over 20 years. Half full my friend, half full.

wow what a thread!

The Wizards are moving in the right direction...We dont need to mortgage our future to find a C...Hell atleast 25 other NBA teams are in our situation, as far as looking for a decent center!

Got to be the proposition of the year. Let's trade our no talent bums for high quality guys. Why didn't Ernie think of that?

By the way, AJ is a talented big man, so there you go. Blatche is a talented big man, too. Perhaps you mean productive. Well, I'd argue that AJ is productive. Perhaps you meant all-star or good enough to be on the next Dream Team/Team USA? AJ is a big selected to be a Dream Teamer.

What I love about your post and I mean this sincerely is how great it is to have people frustrated at the Wizards for merely winning. The Wizard/Bullets must have really turned a corner because for twenty five years not being in the lottery was akin to being in the Finals. Ernie and Eddie really deserve a lot of credit for setting a new tone. It's really great to see people angry at the Wizards making the playoffs.

I would love to...I will try to be there....

I apologize for losing it again but every year this happens and I am so tired of it.
Frye is better than Haywood and Etan....get him...Sheesh! All we have to do is upgrade...
And we refuse to every year.

Heck! Why not Etan, Haywood and JJ and Hayes for Frye.....get rid of our lazy, soft and oft injured players in one fell swoop!

Besides GM Thomas will take anything that is overpriced and overvalued and support it until the team tanks.
