It should be, I learned far more about NFL last year when i started playing fantasy on the NFL site than I have in years of watching but not fully understanding it that and Madden on the PS2 have completed my education on the game.
This should let you know about a few more of the players outside the big 5 clubs. Hope we get a few entries,
Cheers Chris for signing up so quick

Hey nobody went easy on me last year in fantasy NFL so im making no promises but I will give you a couple of tips..
Your goal keeper is your default captain unless you change it so pick either a striker your confident will grab you loads of goals or a midfielder for assists as captain scores double points.
default formation is 4 4 2 but you can change it to 3 4 3 or 4 3 3 play to your teams strenghs I have gambled on some big money players and have a couple of nobodys on my bench that hopefully I dont need to use all season.
Unlike the NFL teams dont have "bye" weeks as such but there will be weeks when the champions league/UEFA cup is on so these players may be rotated to keep them match fresh for the big matches so players from outside the big 4 clubs (MAN UTD CHELSEA LIVERPOOL ARESNAL) can be great value.
Good luck hopefully we can get a few more folk signed up before the league starts next weekend.

Dont worry about it I know some people who pick defenders that wont play as defenders can lose you points by conceding goals so if they are sitting on the subs bench they dont get on and dont lose you goals that way you have more money for better strikers, its all fun though im lad we have a few teams already im sure we get a few more by the time the season starts.
If we get a dozen entries I wil buy a trophy and get the winners user name enscribed on it if they agree to forward it on to the winner the next yr.
Spread the link to anyone you think may be up for a challenge.

you can change your teams from the squad you have as often or as few times as you like. there will be transfer windows at the start of the season and again in January just like the real season.
Glad to have you on board skinned I learned alot about NFL when I started playing fantasy on the NFL site so hopefully this should help you to.
Good luck

You have 65 points and are top of the league the games were played over two days (yesterday and today) so any players you have from Man Utd, Fulham, Chelsea or Man City would not have scored their points until today.
Good start for you though and great choice of captain for this week but you may want to drop him soon he has a three mach suspension coming up click on the (i) next to your players name for news of tranfers, injuries suspensions etc.
Good start

simply click on the wee yellow triangle next to their name and they will drop out the team and then click on the player from your bench you want to bring in,

I think I just screwed myself, not sure. Do you lose a ton of points by making changes off the Transfer wire? I just made a bunch of switches. I figured I could as long as I stayed under the salary cap. My team needed help because I picked a few and auto-selected the remainder (a few didn't even play).
Aberdeen, did I mess up?

Dont worry its still early in the season and squads in the primership use rotation so just cause a player is not playing one week dont read to much into it. Its a long season so players will be rested some weeks, also suspensions and transfers will kick in. check the BBC website for up to date info. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/default.stm

No games this weekend folks as the Euro qualifiers are taking place.
Scotland have a nice easy group in which only one team goes through automatically the team finishing 2nd goes in to a playoff, We only have world cup quarter finalists the Ukraine to worry about oh and two other teams, France world Cup runners up and eh Italy who won the world cup

4-5-2 would be illegal as you would not have a goal keeper my guess is that if you have made a transfer it is showing points earned by your old player but the programme wont let you play a 4-5-2 so dont worry about it.
Anyway I have let you all have a start im going to start seriously now

When you sub in a player at a different position (ie. a forward for a midfielder), it will change your formation.
I believe there is also a one-time Wild Card transfer allowed, which allows you to make sweeping changes/many transfers and not lose pts.

I kind of figured it out, when I go to the Latest points it said that I have an automatic subsitution where my defender replaces my mildfielder.

November-25th-2006, 10:08 AM
The auto sub is a pain I delebiratly picked defenders unlikely to play as they were very cheap and would not cost me any points and I could spend all my money on four or five really good players.

How is Lehmann doing this year, unofortunately I don't watch that many English Priemere league. I guess he not doing very well if they are looking for a new goal keeper.

he is doing ok but he is no spring chicken and his back four (once the strongest think about Aresnal in the days of Keown and Adams) are now looking very young and inexperianced.

The gap at the top is getting narrower and narrower ! I had a really poor week and the bad news for us all is that Henry (gus's striker) is back and getting goals (penalty against Charlton)

with only 100pts separating 1-4, that isn't too bad... but I wish it was closer. Less than half a season to go. Here's to hoping that Henry loses his desire to play (even in jest, I never feel right about hoping a player gets injured... especially one as likable as Henry) and we can keep closing the gap.

No games this week folks as its FA (and Scottish) cup 3rd round all the big teams get a bye in to the 3rd round there are some big teams palying each other Man Utd play Aston Villa and Liverpool play Aresnal its all the luck of the draw Chelsea get to play tiny Maccelfield who are available at odds of 40-1 if you fancy an upset !
My team Hearts should really be to good for Stranraer and it would be really sweet to see Hibs lose to Aberdeen :silly:

I'm pretty sure that he was just getting a rest. I wouldn't sweat it. By the way, LOVE your name... The Simpsons are the best!
For everyone else, it looks like it is starting to get a little crowded at the top! only 70 points separating the top 4!

The total number of game weeks we have is 38 right? If that the case there go my chances of climbing to the top 3. I am 98 points behind Juggernaughts, and I don't think there is no way for me to overcome that deficit.
Aberdeenredskin
March-8th-2007, 09:55 PM
You could climb up to first IF you have the right players, there are still English teams left in the champions league and the UEFA cup so if they start resting thier big stars and thats who the teams above you have while the teams at the bottom play above themselves in a desperate bid to fight off relegation at the end of the season as it costs a club Millions of pounds to go down for a year they are desperate to stay up.
Plenty of shock results still to come and plenty of points still to be made up.
