they have been running that on nfl network for a while. Seems unbelievable but if he really did that, it's very impressive.

That was crazy, if that was real, the word GREAT is an understatement....along with that commercial of Braylon Edwards catching the football blindfolded. Click on FANTASY FILES, and watch the Braylon Edwards video.

Who cares? He hit a pinpoint spot, four times in a row, from 50 yards.

FAKE!!! Did you see Star Wars? Did you think that was real? There is a reason why that is for a FANTASY football commercial. That could never happen. Plus, did you notice he was like 60 - 70 yard away? No way!

BTW, If you are in the market, I have a really nice bridge in brooklyn to sell ya!

sleazye
August-9th-2006, 07:29 PM
rackers could probably hit 1 or 2 out of ten off an upright from 50 yards, but 4 in a row on two different posts? no way. btw you couldnt ask him to continuously kick 50 yarders til he got it right it would be a lot of stress on his leg... then again he did drill a 64 yarder in the skills challenge

It's a nice commercial. There's a new form of video technology being developed in Hollywood. I think they call it Special Effects. I can't believe anyone's actually debating whether or not it's real.

Or reminiscent of the Larry Bird/MJ game of horse for Mcdonald's....

Here's an article that talks about the commercial

"...• Kicker Neil Rackers is ranked No. 1 among kickers and 97th overall.

OK, so all of that is impressive.

But here's the clincher.

Rackers was selected as a spokesman for NFL.com's fantasy league game. A Cardinal! We never thought we'd see the day.

If you haven't seen his commercial, you will, and it's pretty cool.

It's a little like the LeBron James commercials where he's standing at one end of a court and taking relaxed shots that arc toward the top of the gym and then go through the net.

It's also reminiscent of the Tiger Woods commercials, where he bounces a golf ball on the face of a club, taking it between his legs and behind his back before flipping it into the air and whacking it down the range.

Or the Steve Nash video spot in which he bounces a basketball on his thighs and feet like a soccer ball and then kicks it through the rim.

The Woods and Nash commercials are real. The James commercial was done digitally.

In the fantasy football spot, Rackers has four footballs teed up and tells the audience he's going to kick the first two off the left upright and the next two off the right upright.

He does just that, then turns to the camera and says, "You need a kicker, right? Pick me."

Sorry, but like those LeBron spots, this one isn't for real.

But just maybe the Cardinals are this time.

Cardinals Neil Rackers is absolutely God like as a pro kicker. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Does anyone know when his Cardinals contract expires?

Not before Nick Novak, who, of course, is the savior for a lot of people out here! We will definitely chase him first!

And, like another poster said, if homie could kick like that, he'd be 100% on his tries. Which he ain't. Case dismissed. As soon as the ball leaves the frame, so does all credibility.

Peace out, Napoleon.
