I'm not a fantasy buff but I thought I'd give it a shot. Here's a team from one of the leagues I'm in (I have my second draft tomorrow). I'd like some pointers so that I can be ready for tomorrow's draft! Tell me what you guys think!

QBs - Jake Delhome, Mark Brunell
WRs - Chad Johnson, Roy Williams, Brandon Lloyd, Keyshawn Johnson, David Givens
RBs - Edgerrin James, Reuben Droughns, Ladell Betts
TEs - Chris Cooley, L.J. Smith
K- Jason Elam
DEF - Redskins, Denver

I was thinking about trading one of my WRs cause I have a lot. Any thoughts?

How many teams are in your league? That will help determine what you should do (or will better help us help you :)).

If you are in a 12-14 team league, then you look to have a decent team. If you are in an 8 team league you might be in for a hurtin' :). Most likely, the only WR who would get you an RB is Chad Johnson, and you do not want to give him up for a 2nd or 3rd tier RB. I would hold steady.

As for pointers for tomorrow's draft...I would stay away from so many Redskins. While I love to have Skins on my team, and have been known to reach for them in some drafts, stacking your roster with players from the same team (any team) is a bad idea. A couple years back I had Bulger, Holt and Bruce on my team...SOUNDS GOOD to the ears...but you know how many times Faulk or a TE would score and my WR's would come up with a goose egg? :(

thanks for the pointers. there are 10 teams in the league. no one seems shy on WRs so im pretty sure i'm stuck with what i have.

but yea, that's a good point about not getting too many people from the same team. i'll try to remember that. thanks!

Too light on RBs. I assume you took Edge in the first round and Johnson in the second - if I was forced to take Edge (behind that hideous o-line) as my first back I would be looking for another high-tier back with my second pick.

Edge and Rudy? Light? I disagree. It also depends on his league's scoring. I like his RBs.

I'd hold Betts in case CP can't go. Hopefully Lloyd will blow up this season. I have him too.

Also remember teams that are from the same division have byes on the same week. If your selecting your second rb or 3rd wr better make sure they're available to plug in when your studs are on the bench.

Looks pretty solid. I love Cooley, but I think LJ Smith will do just as well fantasy-wise this year (who else does McNabb have to throw to other than Westbrook?). If you need to trade, Cooley might be good bait. Droughns is underrated and has the starting spot nailed down, so he's fine as a #2 running back, but pick up his backup in case he gets injured.
