BTW- sweet video man, thanks. Rocky looks to be a persistent, high motor guy and a solid hitter, now he just needs to learn the system perfectly so he can use his speed to make plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage.

He got juked by the RB and allowed the pass and had to get up off the ground for a tackle.

He got put to the ground by a FB

The best play he had was running over the Guard, but even then the guard was off balance from taking on the DT.

Plus he was going against Second and Third teamers.

I don't think the videos do him justice. Watching him on TV he seemed to be a lot more explosive. I think this guy is going to be good.

Rocky is the 2nd most explosive linebacker in this draft, next to Ernie Sims. Though there are like 8 LBers who are all pretty close in athleticism.

The thing that impressed me about Rocky was his upper body strength was much better than I expected

I knew about the 43 inch vertical, I knew about the sick agility and cover skills, but I didn't think he could take on the FB 4 times, and win 3 of those times.

Johnson, the FB from the Bengals is no slouch, and he is their starter even though he played with rocky through the 3rd.

Not to mention they were obviously gameplanning against Rocky since he was the most talented guy on the field with their blocking and counters.

Give him the 1st team and things will be different.

What you fail to say is he was the point man on three "gang" tackles and that each time the RB fell backwards. The highlights show me, that he hits the holes hard, has good vision, and tackles very well.

His job on the FB is to make the RB go out side. If you look at the hit, the FB gets knocked backwards and Rocky loses his footting.

The best play he had was pushing the gaurd out of the way to make the tackle to prevent a 1st down.

All in all, a good showing in his 1st pre-season game.
