With Jacobs gone that means we have in order Moss, Lloyd, ARE, Patten, Thrash, Farris? From everything i've seen from training camp to preseason, Mike Espy has been more impressive than Farris. I know he's young but farris has only one year ahead of him. Does anyone else think that Espy could move in front of Farris before it's all said and done?

I could see it happening. I think the question is if they will keep 6 WRs on the roster. Thrash is more of a ST comtributor.

im sure with his performance last weekend, he definatly has a shot at making the team...

I think Espy has moved above Farris. The question is do we keep Espy as a 6th WR, or over Thrash, or not at all? The coaches have another 3 weeks to figure that out.

I don't know a thing about how Espy or Farris have done on Special Teams, but that is where they can make the team this year.

I think Espy is in front of him, as far as WR goes. It's probably going to come down to who is the better special teams player, not WR. Jacobs was a better than average special teams player, so it'd probably more important to replace his special teams ability rather than his minimal receiving production.

I'm rooting for Espy. I'm not sure he'll clear waivers.

I don't think Farris is going to make the final roster. Last year was the year for Farris to make the team and show his worth when there was a lack of capable depth.

This year there are just too many players with talent for Farris at 27 to make it.

Espy at 23 is a much better bet because he is a guy you can try and project to being not only a special teamer but a guy who can help you on offense with his hands if necessary.

I was not that high on him due to his 6'0 and 190 size at first, but he can catch the ball in traffic and has decent strength to get off the line.

Farris will never be a receiver in the regular rotation.

Espy is already ahead of Farris, I don't know why he wouldn't be.

I heard Espy was around 205? Maybe he slimmed down. By next year Espy will be in much better shape after a year of NFL training regimine.

I think we will attempt to stash Espy on the PS. - The fact that he is a rookie and played for a small school should go in our favor of deterring other teams from picking him up.

If Espy doesn't make the roster, he will definitely make the practice squad. To me it looked like he was the number 1 target on the field after we sat our starters. The coaches and players seem pretty excited about him and when called to duty against Cincinatti, he didn't let them down.

Why do some of you insist on pretending that you know the order in which the WRs are lined up on the roster?

Espy did really good in one game...I guess we'll see if he still has it in him the next several preseason games. I think he's good enough to take Farris' spot, but I doubt he'll see much playing time if our core receivers stay healthy.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing... I think that Espy brings so much more to the table than Jacobs ever will. I'm really glad that Jacobs is gone.

Espy is a gimmick named after an award presented by the Worldwide Leader in Sports. Farris is the real deal. Save Farris!

Think and know are different things. We are obviously all just guessing.

The second I saw the jacobs trade, my first thought was that we would be able to keep Espy. I've been rooting for this kid ever since I saw him in training camp and he continued to impress me this weekend. He seems like the kind of guy that Gibbs would want.

I actually think Farris is above Espy on the depth chart right now. I remember seeing Farris on almost every special teams but not Espy. Espy is definetly the better reciever but if Farris can offer more on special teams I say we go with him. I mean we have 4 potentially nasty recievers and Thrash so if we keep a 6th WR it will be Farris strictly because of special teams.
