View Full Version : What do you want to see from the Jets Game?

Personally I want to see the following:
QB order: Brunell, Campbell, and then Collins ( Campbell to get second and third quarters )
RB's: First off Betts to get lots of carries ( 1ST Quarter ), Rock to get the Second quarter, and Lumsden and Manny White ( looked decent in the Bengals Game ) to share the whole second half.
WR's: Randle El to get some catches, see what he can do in the open field! Espy get some more work and solidify his place on the Roster.
TE's: Robert Johnson to start with the first team, and Cooley to start with the second team. ( Just to see whether Johnson if up to the job) - Ortega to get a lot of the second half ( we saw him catch the ball, id like to see whether he can run block as well )
O - Line: Kili Lefotu to get lots of work, and Tyson Walter also.
Defense in general :
Rocky / Posey in at LB. Archuleta in a few Blitzes.
D-Line Pressure.
Doughty learn to tackle.
John Eubanks at corner.
Thoughts?

Consistancy. I know that's almost IMPOSSIBLE when constantly changing who's in and who's not, but i would like to see something that resembles what we are capable of. i want to see our RB's actually break some tackles and make some moves instead of being swarmed at the line. Furthermore i would like to see the o-line open some holes up for those guys.
I want to see our DB's prove that they are pro-talent. Springs is not in so the youngsters need to REALLY step it up in 1-on-1 situations. I would also like to see even more penetration from our line. Im not complaining about what i saw, but i want the reassurance that this line can get to that QB and can beat any line in the league.
I dont think that's asking too much is it?

For noone else to get hurt and to see a good drive from the first team offense, hopefully end with a TD or FG. Then see some Jason Campbell and let him get better.

I want to see Campbell in the 1st Qtr., Then I want to see Collins play in the 2nd Qtr. until he starts to struggle, We all know what Brunell can and can't do, so I don't want to see him at all until The 3rd Qtr.. Then I want to see Bramlet finish off the game thoughout the entire 4th Qtr. Hey I know it's a pipe dream but you asked...

I would like to see our second and third teams really step up and redeem themselves from last week. I think they could use a confidence booster right now and even though it would be against the Jets, it would be god for them.
Oh yeah! NO INJURIES!!!

I want to see Brunell and the rest of the 1st team offense make a quick scoring drive and come out of the game. Cooley, ARE, and Patten are up for at least one big catch. I want to see the D stomp again for a few series then come out.
I would like to see Campbell come in after the first couple series and play the rest of the first half with some decent targets, Patten, Espy, Fauria (sp), etc... Second string D needs to step it up this week, especially the secondary.
Most of all no injuries.

Going into the pre-season I was not to worried about the team. After the 1st game I am extremly worried about the team. Not just from a health perspective, but they all underachieved.
I need to see Brunell get into more of a rhythem, Randel El make at least 1 catch, see if Fauria can do anything, and hopefully see no mor injuries. I was less then impressed with Al Saunders "imaginative offense" - and yes I know it's vanilla & they don't wanna show everything. I think a mix of some of Gibbs plays & Saunders plays would be better, but I trust that Gibbs knows what he's doing . I mean after all he has won 3 Super Bowls.

I wanna see most of the starters on the bench, and see the 2nd and 3rd string in action. I don't want to see collins, I would like to see jason the whole game, but I dought that.

I want to see: No injuries, and improved offensive play. And lastly, if its not to much, our backup CBs looking decent again.
I dont think running Betts a lot is a good idea at all. Hes fresh off an injury, we just lost our starting RB, we already know what he can do, I dont think its a good idea to take a lot of chances now.

As been stated already: NO INJURIES!!
Same far as the team, the back up O Line needs to stablize. I'd like to see them run the ball more and see some of these backup RBs break a few.
On defense, I'd like to see the second stringers force a turnover!
The starters are fine, get your reps, and get out.

1.) No injuries
2.) A commanding first drive by the first team offense that goes 6 - 10 plays and scores a TD. Then they get pulled.
3.) Jason Campbell for at least 2 quarters.

Same here.... as long as noone gets hurt, I could stand to watch the Jets kill us.
In fact, let's just put our 3rd string teams out there to get some good reps, and save our good guys.

QB: Brunell to play no more than 2 drives. Make hits with receivers and run the offense. Jason Campbell to play at least the entire second half. Collins to play no more than 1 quarter.
RB: Ladell to get limited carries. No more than 4 total plays. He might be the featured back in week 1 and 2. Lumsden and Cartwright to carry the rest, with the majority going to Lumsden and if he bombs, then more to Nemo. hand-off some to Manuel White.
WR: A couple of plays and sprints for Lloyd and Moss and ARE. Let's get David Patten back in action and knock the rust off. Thrash, too, to see if he still has it.
rest of starters...1 quarter max...

Better off rooting for good play from Wright, Rumph, Jimoh, Battle, and Morton at CB, because Eubanks isn't making the team unless he has a punt return for a touchdown and looks great on every special teams play. Also better off rooting for edwards to play better than Doughty, because it just looks like the IAA guy isn't going to cut it in The League. But I also want Posey, Buck, Espy to get a lot of chances. Would also like to see if McCune can keep up his good play from the Bengals game, maybe he is turning a corner, and if he does, watch out, because he has the speed and strength to be nasty, but anyway you look at it we will be really good with quality depth, but not great at LB this year, same with DL, plus I hope Joe Sykes gets a sack, that guy is playing awseome. And gotta be hoping for better OL protection throughout the whole game, no picks, and I am not going to say no I- word because I feel like its a jinx, maybe we should start calling them I****ies

No injuries, first, second, and third team each get into the endzone. Some backups in the secondary and o-line make their presence felt. Campbell's continuing improvement.

Ill be happy if I can see Campbell in with the first string offense at least once this preseason....I think he will excel behind the starting line with our startin WR and TE out there

Forreal the Second string line is like a revolving door. It looked like the return of the ramsey era when collins was in.

Forreal the Second string line is like a revolving door. It looked like the return of the ramsey era when collins was in.
that might be partially because they knew collins wouldnt hit the reciever if it was a man - to - man play so they could practice thier blitz packages more...

August-17th-2006, 02:55 PM
Campbell getting the chance to throw the ball to at least the second tier of receivers on the team, ie Patten and Thrash.
Ataveus Cash and some of these other guys just don't give Campbell any real options out there and it is almost an invitation to come in, blitz and hurt the qb.

I would like to see Brunell take charge of the first team, and look in control of the offense, I don't care if it's for two or three drives. I just want him to look like he is in control, and knows the offense, and his receivers. He must get timing of the routes down, and look as if he wants to lead this team to a championship this year.
No injuries is the only other issue I would like to not happen the rest of the preseason.

Pretty much what we saw from teh starting units ,( for the brief time they were on the field), in the first game. Well, one less int and no injuries would be nice. And some more of those guys trying to make the team. It's always fun to watch them knowing how hard they are trying out there.

No injuries, some conistent back-up play. I think our 1st team D is going to be hard to stop this year, although the DB's are a little shaky right now. 1st team O moved the ball pretty well in the last game so that's not really a concern. Let's just see some decent football and no injuries!!!!
