Espy dropped alot of easy passes.

I think he might get cut.

Ortega should make the team.

Cut Patton and bring in young talent. :point2sky

Patton doesnt impress me. Ortega looks like they should give him some time with the first team. We havent had a well serviced tight end in a while. I know Cooley is a tight end but hes still an H back.

If Johnson's injury is serious, I'm sure Ortega will make the team. I just hope he brings Miami athleticism and swagger during his minimal chances this year.

I liked that ortega touchdown I thought it was pretty funny that the db fell over like that he just easily ran it in.

Espy has made 8 to 10 nice catches and 2 easy drops and one bad pass by Todd Collins.

He won't be cut - maybe practice squad - but he's done too much to impress to let one bad game (in which he still had a few nice plays) sway the coaches.

Hell Patten had 2 drops in games last year as well. BTW Patten really didn't try very hard to help out Jason Campbell... real nice of the veteran to step up and help the young QB...

I like Ortega too, not sure if he will be able to be anything but a pure recieving TE though... maybe even a WR.

8 to 10 catches? Are you sure? I remember 2 maybe 3 - no fair counting the kick returns. ;)

Ortega doesn't appear big enough to be on the roster as a third TE this year, if Johnson is indeed out for a while with the ankle injury. I think he needs a year of NFL conditioning and some weight gain in order to hold up as a blocker the point of attack.

Espy dropped two rather easy passes. If he took two steps forward last week, he took one back tonight. Farris played well.... it's really a battle between those two for the 6th WR roster spot.... and that's only if the team keeps six on the active roster.

I dunno what to say about Espy I thought he looked good last week and then to come in and look bad, it's gotta be an everyday thing or your gone.

I can't disagree with you on Patton.. I don't care how good of a camp you have, if you don't do it on Sunday then go home.

This is why you should never be allowed to coach even a pee-wee football team.

Just wow. You want to cut patton just to let "young talent" in? Brilliant. You want to give Ortega time with the first team, even after his gentle waiving towards the over the middle pass by collins? Brilliant. Espy should be cut because of one bad day, after weeks of very impressive play? Brilliant. Cooley IS a tight end, BUT hes still an H back? Brilliant.

I tight end that can catch will be big!

Ortega making the team would be a plus he does seem a little small and could use conditioning.

Anyon eknow his weight and height?

Cooley lines up in the back field no tight end. He hasnt been playing tight end. Couldnt hurt to have an extra weapon on 3rd downs.

Espy definately damaged his chances of making the roster pretty badly tonight. Ortega on the other hand looks good and if RJ is out for an extended period of time he probably will make the roster. And Patten is not getting cut.

I wouldn't get too excited about a guy who caught an easy TD against camp fodder.

You almost can't go wrong with a guy from the "U" though.
