I for one do not believe in all the Drama going on you know where, about you know who! In a perfect world T.O. would drive the our hated rivals franchise off the cliff...but in a world where what is reported or pecieved by the masses as the truth....never really is. I think Jones/Parcells and Snyder & The Gibbs Regime are playing a game of chess that our minds are not yet ready 2 grasp. Peep game.........everyone thinks that the coach and his star player are at odds ...when in the really real world no such rift exists while everyone thinks they ar at each others throats they ar laying in wait to slit ours....Our own move the 11th hour signing of T.J. Duckett changes the perception of what kind of team we will be......... Duckett/Portis = Riggo/Washington! 1 bruiser + 1 scatback. I can only hope for the same results. What they want is for us to rest on our laurels and hope we forget he is a premier reciever (Until ST gets a hold of him!)
So dont drink the Kool-Aid people!!!........ I'm not!!!!!!!!!!!

what?

can you rephrase this? paragraphs?

i think the tension in cowboy camp isn't huge, but it's certainly real. i don't think parcells and TO have a conspiracy going on, if that's what you are trying to say.

umm... err... I must say that this is atleast the most interesting thread of the day. I have a feeling that the T.O thing may not be needle that breaks the cowboys back, but its not smoke and mirrors either. But if TO isn't hurt now he certainly will be after #21 says hello.

I think that there is some definate problems in Dallas.... I think that they're blown out of proportion though.

I think he's saying that all the T.O. vs. Parcells media is simply a scam to get everyone to think that they are going to have a falling out. And that Gibbs and Snyder signed Duckett to present that the 'Skins are having some trouble at the RB position. i.e. they are both bluffing.

Frankly, conspiracy theorists unite.

I'm sorry but T.O. will always be T.O. His track record speaks for its self. And I'm not entirely convinced that Snyder wants to spend money on Duckett in order psych out the competion.

For Future reference: Occam's razor
Of two equivalent theories or explanations, all other things being equal, the simpler one is to be preferred.

First, I don't think he's saying it's a conspiracy by anyone, he's just saying it's the media twisting **** and manufacturing news.

Second, he said "Peep game" That's awesome.

If Dallas was really trying to scam the league and media, that in itself would be a HUGE distraction since they're essentially inviting the media to interview their players non-stop about TO.

Face it, if Owens is on the field, the opposition will play him tough. No one is going to let down their guard while he's playing and assume he won't be good just because he missed a few practices or fought with Parcells.

Basically, there is no reason to pretend there is a problem. The best way to get down to business and build the team this year would be for Owens to be on the field practicing...for Dallas, no news is good news.

The media has undoubtedly magnified what is going on down there, but I have no doubt it is real. TO has the track record to prove it. And I don't think professionals worry about some stupid con game that they have to play up in every interview - they worry about what's on the field.

Although I can see your points (sort of) I can't agree. Remember Bill Man Tit Parcell's is used to head cases, Lawrence Taylor (Cocaine Addict), Brian Cox come to mind immediately MeShaun Johnson. So TO is no different. I also think the death of Parcell's brother last year has changed him to a point. The press is baiting both coach and player here and it will be fun to watch who blows his cool first, all bets are on TO however I think after last year one would hope he has gotten somewhat smarter. Also after the fiasco on Philly last year I am quite sure there is some verbage in TO's contract to prevent the same thing. Jerrah Jones is country but he is no bumpkin. As far as the Skins, we have a new offensive coach so why would Gibbs need to play any addtional mind games, NO TEAM knows what we are going to do and we haven't shown anything so that theory doesn't hold water dude......Just my thoughts anyway......

Anyone want to play Madden 07 on the 360 hit me up!!!

the only 'trap' is injuries my friend :)

and no amount of planning can take them out of the equation.

Newsflash. Being an NFL Coach is not easy and they don't have time to sit around and create schemes like this. What you see on TV is real when it comes to TO. You just need to cut through the media bias and spin angles to make your own decision on what is really going on.

I think there's definitely a slight will of egos between BP and T.O. that's getting blown out of proportion. This appears to be the "feeling out" out process that is inevitable between two larger than life personalities. I'm sure BP knows what T.O. can do but he also has to establish himself as the leader of the Dallas Cowboys. Hopefully, T.O. can get his butt on the field to quiet this mess.

i am so confused after reading that.

Yes, there is some problems in Dallas. No, they are not combusting yet.

Yes, Gibbs has a plan with the running backs, but I do believe he will be using more than just Clinton and Duckett. He knows what talent he has and he fully plans on using it.

I don't think there is a big mess brewing in Dallas between Parcells and Owens other than that I think at 33 you are going to see diminishing returns in Owens over time. He may be quite effective in spurts but I am wondering if at his age those nagging injuries will keep dogging him during the season?

Though I appreciate the opinions of all my fellow ES boardmembers.........
the cynical responses I guess are validated
please excuse my run on sentences I dont have time to correct
grammar errors and the like.
So keep it coming......its like explaining rocket science 2 a wino.
Try reading it in small doses then u wiill see all I was saying was
TO may not be as hurt as they let on.......there may not be any injury.
Portis is fine.....Ducketwas an excellent pickup
I just wanna be on guard for whatever they throw at Us!!

Interesting point - only that Portis is the Riggo with wheels and Duckett is Riggo Light - for now, they are both young still much younger than Riggo was here.

Portis is much more than a scat back, in fact he is much more of a straight ahead runner, but he is fast. Real fast.

Portis has some wheels on him man, and TJ is just the guy to team up with him - our offense is real scary.... you know the O-Line is so happy to block for these guys.
