are you more concerned with the fact that our offense is not scoring at ALL, or that the defense is getting shat on by every team we have faced?
Personally I am more concerned about the defense because it has been our conerstone thoughout the past few years. Yes i know that they may not be showing that many different front but still teams are running right up the gut on us. those play should be stopped no matter what defensive front you put out there.
Our offense isnt showing that many plays and I think once we start putting people in motion and start running slants instead of gut plays it will be ok.
either way both sides need to do much better.
Thoughts?

I'm more worried about the lack of depth at DT without Griffin in the game. Or Springs' health throughout the upcoming season. And when Carter will finally step up and make some plays in the backfield. Not really the defense as a whole.
The offense will come along, and if it doesn't, eventually Brunell will get benched and replaced by Campbell. I'm honestly not all that worried. It's preseason, and we got blown out by a team featuring the best QB in the game today. Gibbs will figure it out.

NOT WORRIED AT ALL...
Just disappointed about the performance...
Hell...even the colts and steelers had their fair share of losses...

Defense.
If they're as bad as they look right now, this season is going to be a real stinker.
The Defense has to be the backbone of this team, without it we're in real trouble.

I'm not really worried about the defense. The first team looked strong in the other two games. And we already know what this team in this system can do with a full game plan. The only slight worry is that Archuleta looks a little lost after some plays. But I think he'll get better by week 4-6. And being without Springs for the first 1-2 weeks will hurt. But overall, I think we'll be OK.
The offense, on the other hand, worries me a lot. I know it's preseason and all that, but right now it's really ridiculous. And the first unit looks much worse than I remember in Gibbs I. People talk about the '91 preseason and all. But that's horses***, really. I don't remember the first team looking like this in '91. Yes we lost games in the 3rd and 4th Q is garbage time. But we didn't look this bad in the first half.
And I cannot understand how we're going to be able to flip the magic Saunders button and go out and score 30-40 points a game in just 2 weeks. We should have run our "real" offense today, at least for a half. If the staff thinks one half of the real offense will give too much away, then what do they think will happen after week 1? Will one full regular season game give the NFL enough film to dissect our offense? If so, we're really screwed.
I'm not thinking we're going 6-10 or anything. But I do think we'll have to win a bunch of games late Nov and Dec to get in again. The thought of winning 12-13 and getting home field was probably a little unrealistic anyway. I think things will start to click around week 5-6, but we need to be prepared for a potentially ugly start.
But overall I do think we'll make the playoffs. It just won't be pretty.

dude, are u serious?
OUr D will be fine. we have greg williams D that has been solid since greg willians have been here. we have credibility and if u havent noticed, two of our starting D line was out, springs was out as well.
OUR O is what worries me, especially Brunell and our O line. whats funny is that our O line is suppose to be one of the best.

I think our opinion of the O-line will be revised downwards a little this year. I"m not saying they suck. But they haven't had to deal with a lot of 4-receiver sets before. The O-line will be put in much tougher positions this year than before and we should realistically expect that to show.

Neither, the defense under GW has been fine (during the regular seasons) . It may take some time but our offense will do fine under Al Saunders. Our special teams and kickers in particular are dreadfull though (20 yard punts, short kickoffs giving the opponent the ball mid field (or touchdown) to start off, and missed field goals). Back in the day we had Mark Mosely and Chip Lohmiller kicking for us so we knew if we needed a field goal of up to 50 yards it was pretty much in the bank. Not so thus far this pre-season. Hopefully our kickers are just holding back...

What worries me most is I forgot to wear any Redskins stuff last night and that I may do so again. ;)

Didn't you know? Our kicking game has been vanilla.

My only worry is that the offense doesn't want to show anything in the preseason games, not really giving anyone a chance to work on new things Al Saunders has brought, I think the offense will struggle in the Minnestota game

the only thing i'm concerned about are these "fans" who have already given up on a team who hasn't played a game that actually matters yet.

I am more concerned that our fanbase has turned into a bunch of pessimistic ******* and our 12th man will NOT BE THERE 9/11.

I'm more disappointed than worried it will work out they have been in these type of situations before they work their way out of it. I think the most dishearten thing is no fire they look like they are just going through the motion. The way they came out the tunnel up in New England they just look like they had no energy.

the only thing that I am concerned is the health of our key players
and hope that we will get healthy prior to start of the season

I just hope that offensively there isn't any caryover into the Vikings game. As far as the defense is concerned, I think they will be fine.
