Week 1: Portis

The time is upon us. We must submit our final fantasy lineups tommorow.

Let's hear Clinton Portis owners: are you taking a chance with him?

Yes, I am. I feel that Portis will play, and he's earned a spot in my starting lineup right next to Shaun Alexander.

Instead of CP i drafted Ronnie Brown...but if you drafted portis you have to start him

They say if he does not practise today (afternoon) he probably wont play. Hopefully we will know if he was out there before we have to set are lineup.... But I think I am going to keep him on the lineup. It would p*ss me off to take him off and watch him get into the endzone a couple times.

Yes. You have to start him. Addai probably won't start week 1.

I think Portis is worth the risk if you don't have another viable option at RB. In your case, you have to start CP because Addai isn't a good bet this week. For the guy who has Jackson available, I'd go with him and eliminate the risk.

I am in a league that can either start 3 receivers and 2 RB's or vice versa. Right now I am starting Willie Parker, Droughns, R Moss, TJ Whosyourmomma and Reggie Brown (they are playing Texans). I really want to start CP but I don't see them giving him many carries. He will play against Dallas.

I have Tiki, Portis, Dunn and Gore. I think Portis finds my bench this week and Gore gets the nod. It kills me though!

I have Portis, Willie Parker, DeShaun Foster, Wali Lundy. We start 3 RB's in my league. I can backup Portis, but if he gets 6 or more chances in the game I AM FORCED TO STICK WITH HIS STATS. Do you think 7 carries for 23 yards is a possible stat line given the circumstances??

Sounds like CP is the likely starter for me. I hope we get news that he's practicing today. That would be a good sign!....

Weird how so many people have Foster. I have him too.

We start two RBs and I have Portis, Cadillac Williams, Foster and Duckett.

Williams is clearly starting, but I'm on the fence right now about Portis. I'll probably end up going with Foster instead this week.

I'm in a similar boat here as well. I've got C.P., Steven Jackson, Jamal Lewis, Thomas Jones and Ladell Betts. I'm thinking of Jackson and Jones, or is Lewis going to get the bulk of the carries now? I'm pretty sure Jones and Lewis both are going to share time. Even Portis will probably if he does play. Any ideas on what to do?

Actually there are 7 teams in my league and i went rb,rb,rb with my first 3 picks.

Funny thing is I also was able to draft L. Fitzgerald and A. Boldin as well. I didn't draft a QB till late and was still able to select M. Hasselback also. :D

Did CP say he was 75% sure he wasn't playing? I'm banking on that 25% and his wanting to be out there....
