Lets say this week at Dallas, Brunell has a bad day or does not do very well. Below 50 completion %, picks, sacked alot and we lose the game. Wouldn't it be a good idea to start Jason Campbell the next week? The only reason im saying this is because, our Week 3 opponent is the Texans. Campbell will get some valuable experience against the texans which might help him get confidence and prepare him for the next game because of the texans bad defense. As he gets more playing time, he gets more experience. What do you guys think?
On a side note, If we werent playing the Texans in Week 3, I wouldnt have made this suggestion.

Then he stays the starter... common sense. Notice how I said, IF he has a BAD day. By the way, this is not a Brunell bashing thread, I like Brunell, so chill out.

Why hurt Brunell's confidence like that? The man had a great year last year and you're already ready to throw him under the bus after ONE game?

I am getting to the point where i think it is time to play JC also, let's see how
mark play's this week,if it is sub par i say go with the kid and take our lumps.
A lot of young qb's are playing well in this league,i am tired of hearing jc is not ready, well best way for him to get ready is to PLAY.

I think we sould start Sean Taylor at QB, that way if he is about to get sacked he will just spit in the players face causing blindness from his venomous saliva.

Wow you ask people a simple question and this is what they do. I never said he sucked, I know he was great last year, I never said our Season is over after one loss, I was simply suggesting something, I didnt know that was a crime.

Around here it is a crime when you suggest that Campbell start for a healthy Mark Brunell just based on two performances. Get used to it:)

well, then whats the point of this? im mean, theres no reason for hypotheticals, just let it play out, and roll with.
With that said, I hope brunell picks apart the dallas defense this weekend and has a career day(we all know he needs it with portis out now)

Bad play or not I don't think the guy has a bad idea, maybe not start him but let mark put some points on the board, say the skins are leading by 10 at the half, Houston as been know to pack it in...they don't have a comeback offense....then bring in the kid and let's see what he's got??? The D will be licking their chops so it'll be a good test.
Good idea man, just maybe should've put the positive twist on it!!!

why do you say that? Say we lose. We will be 0-2. Say we win our next 6 games, then we will be 6-2.......how are we in trouble?

The season is just beginning and not many qbs last all 16 games health wise. Im sure JC will see some action; we dont want JC getting pounded like Ramsey was just because Brunnell has a bad day.
Once you start JC, or for that matter Collins, under those conditions then youre saying he's the qb the team has confidence in and are committed to...

Spelling Monitor here:
Loose- means not tight, like a loose peice of clothing.
Lose- means to not win.
I hate to be this critical, but you all are supposed to be adults and have at least some education. I know typos occur, but this is rediculous.

Skins win and brunell and company the suspect cowgirls secondary for 300+. Makes this scenerio a moot point against the Texans.

The minute Campbell takes the field is the moment the Redskins have thrown in the towel. So, if indeed we lose and you think we're done, yes play Campbell.
But, I guarantee you, when/if Campbell takes the field this year, it won't take long for everyone to be calling for Collins or someone else.

"rediculous"??? That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Dude, leave the grammar and spelling lessons for school. Overlook the obvious typos here okay? You end up looking more like a fool, especially when you misspell a word while correcting someone else's spelling!

You might be totally wrong. I would bet $100 against your call.
I'd say once Jason Campbell steps in the field, he will never step back. Everyone will be wondering why we did not put this guy earlier in the season.

Dont worry about it. With all the losing in preseason and last week, its kinda getting to the fans. I can see your logic, but putting Campbell in this early may be conceding defeat for the year in the coaches eyes. I dont know. Im kinda lost on this one. I thought Brunell played fine against the Vikes. It isnt his fault that Moss didnt catch the td in the endzone. Would we have this thread up if we had won the game by Moss holding onto that pass??? I know we need to get Campbell in there, but its just too early still to pull that trigger. Im more worried about our DB situation. We are in some dire straights back there. Ive lost a lil confidence in Rodgers, no Springs. Rumph and Wright's play has scared the heeby jeebies out of me at times, and we havent even seen hide nor hair of Ade Jimoh. Is he supposed to be the secret weapon or something? My worries with Brunell can wait because when JC gets his shot, Im sure he'll hit the ground running. Its gonna take both Rodgers and ST to handle T.O. this weekend. Much bigger concern IMO.
