the best way to eliminate Rogers from making a mistake, bring him on a corner blitz. Chances are they are gonna try to control the tempo so get someone back there fast. come quick and hit em hard

I agree.

Blitz them early and often. Get pressure. hurry bledsoe and make him very uncomfortable. He is a very poor decision maker when he is under pressure.

i would just man up carlos with t.o and have ST double him up, or at least keep him back there in case carlos gets burnt. And we need to get pressure on bledsoe and force him into mistakes.

must... get... pressure... on Bledsoe

pressure on Bledsoe should be the #1 priority. I'm sure that GW knows this too.

ya a very frustrated Bledsoe is key but we don't want to put him out of the game..Romo could be more dangerous,,

No TO big plays, punishing hitting, watch Witten...

They may go for Witten early try to draw ST in then go depper to TO...

no big runs...just like minnie 2.8 a carry, we need to increase pass rush and tighten coverage. 2 turnovers...play tough/smart and with swagger/attitude. Team.

Totally destroy T.O., hit T.O. and Glenn every chance you get, Blitz the hell out of them, and hit the WRs at the line too through them off there timing with Bledsoe.

Blitzing from the outside will take too long. We need to come up the middle for once. Bledsoe cracks from pressure in his face.

Teach 'em how to tackle.

Agreed, more blitzing from inside especially AA and an array of LB's. Bring the corners on occassion, line stunts, what ever it takes to force mistakes!

The first play on defense, I would put in all our third string defenders (excluding those on special teams or in special packages). Then, upon the snap of the ball, I would have all 11 of our guys kick each guy he was covering square in the nuts. Then, the team would proceed to fall upon the Cowboys like the fire winds of hell, and beat them in the fashion they deserved. :D

I think our only chance is to really bring the heat. Keep the safeties back in double coverage, and blitz the LBs regularly. We'll get burned on some plays, but hopefully we'll also make some sacks and turnovers. If nothing else it puts our offense back on the field. If Bledsoe has time we're done.

With their receivers they'll max protect. Better make efficient use of the heat or it will be a waste.

I agree that we need to get heat on Bledsoe; and I think their OL is weaker than our DL. We also need to beat them physically. So I would take some chances in order to make a sack, cause an interception, or get their RB in the backfield.

I would bring one DB on a blitz on every play. I would also bring one LB to blitz the QB, one LB blitzing the RB (key on him to stop draws and screens), and one LB to knock the TE on his butt at the LOS. I would also play tight man coverage on their WR (anticipating that Bledsoe will not have time to throw deep). Keep one DB back as a safety. DL get your hands up to tip the ball after 2-mississippi. I wouldn't bother with stunts (take too much time).

The idea is to get to Bledsoe within 2-3 seconds so that he will either get sacked or have to throw it up for grabs. Key on the RB to stop the screen pass. Stop the quick pass by getting hands up and stuffing the TE at the LOS. I know this is risky for getting burned on the long pass; but to give Bledsoe time to throw is not a good option. Two or three turnovers are a good way to stop them.

yea we need to blitz so Bledsoe is under pressure the whole game and will throw int's

Chase Bledsoe all over the field.

Hit Bledsoe early and often.....stop the run game.
Pray that your O can control TOP and score TDs when in the RedZone and that STs can provide good punts and give Dallas poor field position.

Personally, I'd put Rogers on Glenn and hope that he can contain him. Then I'd put Wright/Rumph (probably Wright since he's bigger, although Rumph is pretty physical for his size) on TO and have them play a really rough bump and run and make sure I've got Sean helping over the top on every play. I'd rely mostly on Washington and Marshall to handle Witten, as I think they are probably Archuleta's equal in coverage and they can manhandle him a little bit, especially Marcus.

I also think I would play a good deal of zone, but only if I'm getting good pressure on Bledsoe. He'll get fooled by the zone if he's got guys flying at him, but if he can stand back in the pocket, he'll pick it apart.

Finally, as has been mentioned ad nauseum, it's going to be critical to pressure Bledsoe and to stop the run. If we can get an early lead and force them to abandon the run, all the better.

It's gonna be a tough job, but there's a reason GW is one of the best coordinators in the league...he'll put together a great game plan and we'll give 'em hell.

We need more rotation on the interior. Didn't see Boschetti that much against the Vikes. Like to see a bit more of him and Evans on this one. Daniels and Wynn can hold the end positions well, but Carter starting from the get-go might not have been the best solution. It seemed he was out of position. Obviously, GW knows what he wants from his personell, but we played much better last year with less talent only because of familiarity.

I hope we can get back to that state and bring the new guys in slowly to keep some fresh legs...

I would use a 4-3 as well as a 3-4, with Carter playing DE and OLB. try to give the cowboys as many different looks as possible. The skins have to blitz, thats what makes their d so good. If they just sit back they will be beaten because Bledsoe will have all day. If we blitz and dont succeed we'll get burnt as well but Id rather our D be on the charge instead of sitting back playing soft.

Trade Archuleta and Lloyd to NYG for LA.

Hynotize Carter convincing him that he's really John Abraham.

Pass rush the above...

Have the corners play an aggressive Bump & Run defense. T.O. gets flustered with a big guy up in his face too (Have Sean Taylor cover up on Owens any chance he gets.)

A few things have happened that makes it look like that. Teams have had two years of film to watch and know our tendencies. Max protect is the norm against us, also hit the TE and RB for quick dump offs. The most important thing is injury to Springs. He is our best corner blitzer. Not having Prieleau really hurts also. I think we'll see more of Marcus Washington blitzing up the gut this week. :2cents:
