Anyone see this? This has got to be the worst officiated game I've ever seen. The refs all but handed Oregon the win. Horrible, horrible, horrible. And I'm not even an OU fan, but what's right is right, and those refs were paid off. Home Cookin' if I've ever seen it.
At least in the NFL, one game is generally not the end all be all, but in college, one game can mean the difference between playing for the national championship, or not.
If you didn't see the game, check out the highlights on sportscenter tonight. I'm sure they'll be talking non stop about it.
Worst hijacking of a game I've ever seen.

Peterson deserved to win that game. Bull crap calls from the ref. Wasn't rooting for anyone until the bull crap call on the onside kick, then I started pulling for Oklahoma. Shame the ducks blocked the kick.

Same here. I didn't care who won until the refs started pulling that BS, then I was rooting for OU.
NCAA needs to take a hard look at the officials who were calling that game.
Something stinks.

The Sooners have been helped many times by bad ref job's. Don't feel too sorry for them.

While many people like to say that the officiating of a game directly resulted in a team losing or winning, its hardly the case.
However, here, this is an absolutely true statement.
They dont horribly blow that onsides kick call and Oklahoma is leaving Oregon with a W.
Plain and simple.
Disgraceful. And the official that made the final call on that one should be suspended this season, if not fired for good.
Oklahoma, and college football in general deserves better than that.

i think that his reasoning was wrong. it was clear that oregon touched it first but i dont think that you could tell from any of the angles that he clearly touched it before the 10 yard marker. the yellow line is not the official spot its only a computerized graphic that is pretty damn close. nonetheless with teh ball in the air like it was and the angle of the cameras it was hard to see if he touched it before or after.

I can't believe all these mistakes by referees with replay. I guess it's understandable that the ref could screw it up during the play, but seriously, for referees to be able to watch the review and miss such blatantly obvious calls is unbelieveable.

I didn't really have a rooting interest in the game (though I usually prefer college football when traditional powers like Oklahoma are very good) so I was watching the end of that game absolutely fascinated by what was going on but not really rooting for one or the other.
I could not believe the refs, despite having replay, still were screwing Oklahoma like they were. It was like watching a train wreck. I wanted to turn away but I just couldn't.
I can't imagine what Sooner fans must have felt like last night.

Just as I suspected.
Although I think they should be done for the year.
Disgraceful performance.

The officials did legitimately take the W away from OU and that should be end of story, but what bothers me as well was the OU defense that allowed the two TD's in 22 seconds. They plain and simple laid down. OU Def Coord Brent Venables should not have been allowed on the plane ride home. OU's defense is missing Bob Stoops brother Mike badly.

This is video pretty much sums it up. Oregon didn't even recover the loose ball.

Adrian "AD" Peterson is the real deal. If he's not the first player choosen next year then just wow.
