Sweeeet. I like watching wet games, makes it seem, classic. Like it was the way the game was meant to be played. Besides the fact that it causes some problems. Let's hope the problems aren't on our side of the ball.

WeOwn,
Is it scheduled to continue through tonight?
Hard to say really, but I would say yes. Normally, it either rains all day around here or not at all, so if it is raining now, and looking at the radar, my guess would be yes.

Supposedly it doesn't affect all of the field, but it has been raining all day, and their will be heavy showers and wind tonight for the game. This is a good sign for tonight...and they just reported on WTEM that Clinton did make the trip down to Dallas.

I was thinking the same thing, rain makes for a ground and pound game. Also rain creates havok for QBs, especially mistake prove statuesque QBs.

If they can't close the roof, then what's the friggin' point of having it?
I learn something new to hate about Dallas every day.

The contractors botched the construction of the stadium, it wouldn't support the weight of a retractable roof or something.

I think you are right and this is a good sign. It will slow their offense down but our "D" still has to stand up and show that they are not to be taken lightly. HTTR! :logo:

Been a while since I saw a good ol' Joe Gibbs NFC East Mud Game. Granted, the best ones of those were at RFK, but maybe this will do.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Stadium
the stadium was to have originally been a domed stadium, but the stadium could not support the weight of the entire roof, and public funding ran out before the roof support structure could be modified. This resulted in most of the stands being enclosed but not the playing field itself. This unusual arrangement - more commonly seen in European soccer stadiums - prompted Cowboys linebacker D.D. Lewis to make his now-famous quip that the "hole" in the stadium's roof was there "so that God can watch His team."
