HAIL EVERYONE!!! After the season we had last year including the sweep of the Cowboys an 0-2 start is a very hard pill to swallow. Look as much as I hate to say it, this game was an uphill battle to begin with. We stole one, last year in Texas, embarrassed them in Washington and by winning our last game of the season kicked them out of the 2005 playoffs. Fast Forwarding to this season, the offense is struggling with a new system, the defense is injured and can’t do their thing if the offense is still in transition, the Cowboys lost their first game in Jacksonville and they have to play us in their home opener. Really, I thought from the beginning that us winning that game would almost be a miracle. Don’t get me wrong I have faith and love the Redskins but the odds were clearly against us.
My suggestion is this it’s time for ALL of Redskins Nation to move on!!! It’s two games, we have 14 left with a talented bunch of people, and don’t forget Joe Gibbs, his staff and the BEST FANS with the loudest stadium in the NFL!!!!!. Now the infighting amongst us (on the boards) and calling for Mark Brunell and John Hall’s head is not productive. It needs to stop. Yes Brunell is older, some of his passes were a problem. But be honest if anyone is going to get us to the playoffs it’s him. No disrespect but Collins is not the answer, if he was he wouldn’t be a back up. Campbell is the future, it’s not his time…sure if you guys want to mail in the season with 14 games left and not make the playoffs…put him in….I don’t think we’ll have the same luck as the Patriots and Steelers. JG says the guys win and lose as a team…lets remember that. I personally believe we had a good thing going and we needed a few pieced that we got at wide out, etc. And new system with a new offensive coordinator, may not have been the best thing just yet. But hey we got all that and we can only get better. But as fans we have to stay behind the entire team while they climb out of this. UNITY REDSKIN NATION...UNITY. So well probably have a good game against the Texans…but don’t think everything is solved if we just take it to them..its the Texans. We had a similar thing happen with the 49ers last season, and remember the Giant game the next week? So Unity, and support….give Brunell a break he is not the only person on the team. We can do this…UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL….Remember that…HAIL REDSKINS!!!!!!!

Its been a tough couple of weeks no doubt, but I still support whoever goes out there and gives it their all. I'm in disagreement with a few things that are going on, but I'm going to give the benefit of doubt to the coaching staff who spends hour after hour evaluating their players. Hopefully we can turn this thing around. We have a good opportunity against the Texans. All I can hope for is improvement on offense.... even if its with... gulp.... Brunell.

I like your rose colored glasses.
Honestly, I wouldn't care as much if we would have actually looked decent in either of these two regular season games, or in the preseason. It's not as much about the loss as it is about seeing the same old thing again. No offense. Nothing. We had the same problem last year. We blamed it on our lack of receivers. We fixed that. We didn't fix the o-line, which was a problem last year. It's the same guys missing the same blocks, knocking the same old ricketty Qb down nearly every play.
Also, there's never any continuity from season to season. We're always making wholesale changes somewhere. This year it's Saunders. Sure, he's been great other places. But so have a lot of the players we've brought in here that have ended up contributing absolutely nothing.
It's as if we never learn.
Snyder, I believe, regardless of "best intentions" is ruining this franchise. We've made the playoffs twice (?) since he's taken over?
And Gibbs...When he can sit there and tell us how "proud" he is of Brunell, and that he's a "Super smart guy"...C'mon. We can only "fight our guts out" and lose so many times before people start calling BS.
So you see, if the team would have gone down fighting in these games, if we would have put in a good show, if they would have shown us some amount of change from last season and the one before, be it from the players or coaches, i don't think any of us would be quite as upset.
There's no fire there. It just looks like they're going through the motions...

I haven't jumped ship yet. And we seem to be among the very few who believe the season is not yet lost, and Brunell gives us the best chance to win, right now.
Even the 'Skins haters can't argue that this is the best and most experienced coaching staff ever assembled. We need to believe and trust their decisions. I know I do.

Well you are right about the whole sale changes...I didn't add that because I wanted people toread what I had to say...it's a lot...the offseason changes with no commitment is a huge issue we have not learned from that yet. Still from the QB's we have Brunell is our best chance...I would have never picked up Collins anyway..that's a different story...still I believe Brunell is our best shot and it's not over...We all need to stay strong as fans for the team!

I don't know how much i could argue that Brunell gives us our best shot either. That's just the bad part. That shot he gives us is still a long one.
I would like to see Campbell, especially if we struggle in Texas.
I do think the season will be lost in the next couple weeks if things do not turn around drastically. Not because we've lost two games, but just because everything seems to be in disarray. How does that happen after having a solid year like last year?

Thanks! Look last year I had a buddy email me at half time of the Dallas game in Week 2. He words were "Duane Brunell is killing me he has no arm". Then we saw what happen! So this year I told this guy I was worried about the QB situation with Brunell (getting older or injured), a rookie QB and Todd Collins pluss a new system Brunell has to learn. He said "Duane I give Mark maximum 4 games to get it together he'll be fine" So everyone is going back and forth..asking for Brunell's head...but watch if he torches the Texans he'll be up for President....HE's our best chance regardless...it's not over til it's over

Well this is what I think the problem is...We did need other receivers to take the double team off of Santana....DONE!!!, what we didn't need was the sweeping changes that come every off season. this time in the form of a new offensive coordinator with a new system everyone has to learn. The old system JG used last season that took us to the playoffs would have been fine with the new receivers we have. A real back up QB (even if we kept Ramsey) won't have hurt. How is it that we know what make sense but people with all that money can't figure it out. Watch what happens when Gibbs leaves again unless some one learns what continuity and gelling means!!!

]']You dont move on after losing to your Rival. It's just something that takes time.
Look I was more upset than anyone hoping against hope we pull through. But at the end of the day it's one game..grant it it's the Cowboys, but calling for Brunell to be replaced with someone who has not played in regular season, ready to throw in the towel after two games that really could have gone either way c'mon Redskins fans are tougher than that! We survived Norv...remember? Although we lost by 17 the game was actually a lot closer than that. Someone else bought that to my attention. We had the ball 6 times after the kickoff for a TD...The Cowboys could NOT put us away. They were worried in Dallas. They remember what happen to them last year. Then we got the turnover, if not for the pick it's a 4pt game or a tie....then the fun starts! So a few plays either way and less penaties we are 2-0 and everybody is saying "Bring on the Steelers" Losing to Dallas or not we should not let them break our spirit like we did them last year over ONE game...We Will Be OK...Don't worry!!!!!!!!HAIL
