Could this upcoming Houston game be like last years San Fran game where our offense woke up against a horrible team? It was a game where we had already won a couple of games but the offense seemed to had gained confidence in itself after that game.
Lets hope for the same score as last years San Fran Game

I'm not a fan of running up the score and beating up on a weaker team....but by all means...BEAT THE LIVING **** OUT OF THE TEXANS!!!!!

Yea i think it will be. we should hang at least 21 on them, and if the offense gets going like it did against San Fran, it may be a blowout. I'm talking 42-3 blowout!

We looked strong before SF last year. We outplayed Denver in Denver (Mark had somethng RIDICULOUS like 350 yards passing in that game, go look it up).
Most people expected that blowout if you look at the predictions, just not that extreme, but we were heavily favored.
This Texans game, is like a coin flip. We look miserable going in, and the only spark is Portis coming off an injury

We will kill them.
It will get our swagger back, and we will be back!

A completed pass could also spark the offense

I sure hope we wake up and I think we will. Hopefully things will start to click. WE need a win this week to build confidence against Jacksonville. I also think that the Texans are looking forward to having us because they don't think we are any good either. This team needs a win more than ever right now. If we don't get this we are....um.....huh....I can't even say it.

Yeah! And if you remember our great "confidence builder" we got blown out 36 - 0 the following week at giants stadium. Remember that?
We will be lucky if we beat the Texans. And that is thinking positive.:2cents:
This team has not looked this bad in a long time.

Haha yeah, how you dare you bring up an actual true fact. The fact that after beating the pulp out of the 49ers we lost the next week 36-0 the Giants.
Our offense better figure something out vs the Texans because the Jags coming to town the week after is going to be tough.
A bad offense vs that defense will probably equal 0 points and a 1-3 record, or 0-4, its the NFL i'm not going to just assume we are going to beat the Texans on the road.
Figure something out this week boys, get some swagger, get something rolling, lets have something positive going into the Jag game.

Don't count on it. That's the worst thing everyone can do. Do not take the Texans for granted. They are going to win a game this year and we are prime right now to give it to them.

Houston is a better team than people give credit for. By the time the Redskins played the 49ers last year, they had already won a game and was playing with a little swagger.
I still expect a hard fought game when the Texans and the Redskins play. I doubt if we'll put up a lot of points on the scoreboard but the Redskins will win it.

I would rather it be like the St Louis game. That's really when our team woke up so to speak and we started our run. We had lost three games in a row, and were singing the blues, bigtime. Not only that, but much like the Minny game, we had the lead(in those games) and couldn't hang on. The Dallas game is one that we can potentially throw out this season, much like the Giants game last season. They got their revenge, but it certainly doesn't have to mean the rest of the year is a bust for us.
We definitely need to find ourselves, and no better time to do that then against a team that happens to be struggling as much or more so than us.
14-2, anyone?

I agree with the fact that the Texans aren't that bad of a team. Look at the beginning of their first game against the IGGLES and they were up 10-0 before finally losing. Look what has happened to us when the last two games both teams went up 10-0 on us and we lost. So if we don't score first we need to find a way to come from behind for a win.

Oh really....you forgot that after that game we went to NY and our offense looked like the Brunell run offense of 04.
But don't count your chickens pal because this game could be the Browns game of 04. Imagine if we do lose this game which means that Brunell plays bad and again against one of the worse defenses in the league. Then what?

I thought I heard on the radio this morning that Carr is the highest rated QB in the league.

Ok lets talk about this game...If Brunell is as bad does he get benched for Collins. And if he does and Collins wins does Brunell start against the Jags or does Jason or God forbid Brunell....Man this is bad. :(

i'm pretty sure that we were 2-0 going into the san fran game and that we had just come off an emotional win, not a terrible defeat.
i dont see this game like that at all

i don't know what his rating is, but i'm pretty sure he put up good numbers against the Colts during garbage time. Don't read too much into his stats
