Stallworth scratched from Eagles' lineup
NFL.com wire reports
SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 24, 2006) -- Receiver Donte' Stallworth was a late scratch from the Philadelphia Eagles ' lineup against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring injury.
Stallworth was listed as probable on the Eagles' injury report Sept. 22, but missed practice before the team traveled to the West Coast. He had emerged as Donovan McNabb's primary target since his arrival in a trade with New Orleans last month, catching 11 passes for 222 yards and two scores.
Running back Brian Westbrook was active for the Eagles after missing two practices during the week with swelling in his knee. Cornerback Rod Hood, listed as doubtful with a heel strain, also played in place of injured Lito Sheppard.
Fullback Chris Hetherington was a surprise scratch for the 49ers

It sucks if you can't rely on one of your main threats. It seems like Westbrook can't stay healthy either.

Wasn't looking for sarcism, thanks. Just stating fact similar to it being tough for the Skins when CP is running into injuries.

Dude Mcnabb is awesome, just look at his control at the line of scrimmage, doesn't matter who he is playing, you know he is in command of the offense.

McNabb is the man! He should've had another TD today too but Reggie dropped the ball right in his hands in the 4th quarter.
The only thing that concerns me about this offense right now is dropped passes. We can't continue to beat ourselves like that.

And I would like to take this oppetunity to say I'm pissed Nolan wouldn't admit defeat when the game was out of hand. The eagles put in some of their scrubs in on defense and the Niners kept on going for it, and even attempted an onside kick after their garbage touchdown. Part of me wanted to see Andy kick a field goal with three seconds left for that BS. Michael Lewis got hurt on a play that never should have happened because of this.
I was also overjoyed to see Alex Smith get pummelled in the fourth quarter. He kept avoiding the sacks numbers for most of the game, while still taking a beating from the d-line, which upset me. They got him back in the 4th. I was upset to see the announcers put up his stat line at the end of the game and start praising him, while they exluded the stat that he fumbled the ball twice.

Wasn't able to see the game, but I highly doubt I'll get an honest assessment on this board.
Like looking at the stat sheet, I see 15 rushes and 3 mcnabb scrambles,
yet some one on here was touting having a 100yd rusher. Westy had 8 rushes total, with one 71 yd run (which I did see) yet somehow he's the running attack the Eagles are looking for.
They got a win so good for them.

dock, I love the fact you have one of my posts in your sig. it just reaffirms to me how dangerous everybody thinks the eagles are, wether they admit or not.

At the time I thought it was stupid.
They have good line play all around, so they should be 3-0 at this point.
I still think they'll get exposed by better opponents, so the sig stays. They'll beat average teams. The skins are just average right now. But Seattle is not. No way Eagles get homefield, even if they get to the playoffs. The road goes through Seattle.

hopefully the road diverts itself and heads towards DC

Yes, it's so out of the question for the Eagles to beat Seattle. I mean, they only gave up 27 points in the 4th quarter to the Giants today, not 23 like the Eagles did last week........wait.....
Eagles are one of the best teams in this conference.

I never noticed that before.. Why of all things would he hope to make an eagles fan look stupid that mad a statement the the eagles have playoff and division title aspirations? Why not isolate a quote of someone saying the eagles would definatly win the superbowl and mcnabb would throw for 100,000 yards with 100 touchdowns, I'm sure he could find it if he dug hard enough.

The Eagles looked good in the first half but when the second half came around they started to get sloppy again. Thats when the Niners scored most of their points. Thankfully the Eagles had a few things go their way (Patterson's 98 yard fumble return) and Schobel's 60 yard catch in the end to seal the deal.
If the Eagles continually play like that they will have more upsets like the Giants game. They come out firing on all cylinders in the first half. Then look average/sloppy in the second. This needs to be fixed.

Andy struggled to manage the game once again.
I'm really growing tired of his seeming moral aversion to running the football.

Eagle fans take the cake!
They're record against three of the worst teams in football: only 2-1

No running game, depleted db depth, and no real opponent yet.

And the depth of the schedule doesn't happen for another three weeks.

I had you at 6-0 for the first six games, but now, you've lost one and look like you might lose to the pukes.

You guys crack me up...

I guess I'd be pissed, too, if for the second week in a row, my team's defense collapsed in the second half.
Thank God you guys get a big lead early.
I think you'll have trouble all year protecting small leads.

Not me. Your boys are BACK. I got big respect for McNabb. The man is quite simply amazing. They don't even miss a step w/o Kearse. Barring major injury (McNabb or Westy) this team is easily the division winner this season.

got nothing but love for ya dock. your still praying for a collapse like last season, but I gotta tell ya bub, it ain't gonna happen. this team is built for the long term. also, isn't seattle a running team? foot injuries are murder on rb's. madden curse blah, blah.

What a difference a foot makes. Maybe the "paloffs" won't go through Seattle.
The Eagles looked strong in Texas minus the first defensive series, and looked good for 3 quarters at home vs the Gints. Didn't see 49ers so I can't say.
But they need to be more consistent and show it against a good team. Then I'll be more inclined to agree. And don't joke about foot injuries and RBs when you wear green. Might just bite you.
