And is number two in receiving yards.

Here's a hint. He is someone who many on this board said was done, finished not too long ago. :D

I'm thinking it's someone who doesn't need to be mentioned in the stadium, and this should have been posted in Around the NFL...

besides, give his toe time to act up, and Penningtons arm to get tired... ;)

where the hell were you last year when Moss was tearing it up?

I was told by the doctors on Extremeskins that Coles' toe is a chronic condition. It hasn't slowed him down yet.

Pennington-to-Coles is back!!!!! :notworthy

Moss was on pace for 2000 yards recieving at this time last year. Don't get your hopes up that Coles is going to make the probowl. :)

We're very proud of you for bringing this up, but I think the correct place for it is in Around the NFL

You would still trade him back to us for Moss in a second if you had the chance. But guess what...NOT going to happen. :)

And we were told Moss just ran to the sidelines, ha. Three games does not a season make. Compare Coles to Moss last season or at the end of this season.

And you know Around the NFL is where this should be...

Coles was winey little idiot when he played for the Skins and he hid an injury. Why should we be surprised that a healthy Coles is doing his job??? Who cares?

Santana is a very good player, a gamebreaker, I wasn't too surprised by how well he did in 2005 but when Coles is playing the way he can he's a more complete wr. Go back to your game against the Vikings in week 1 you know that Coles would have held on to that pass in the back of the endzone for a TD. You might not admit it but deep down inside you know I'm right.

actually, I don't think you are. Coles dropped his share of passes while he was here.

Coles is awesome, and I hope he has a great season. I don't understand everybody wishing ill on an X-skins player. He was good while he was here, and he was a little ticked when he left. Who wouldn't be?

Still, Moss is better.

I'm mean really, who gives a damn. Go to your J.E.T.S. JETS JETS JETS board and rant about it and besides, the J.E.T.S. JETS JETS JETS still suck.

I am betting he will not be the leading receiver at the end of the season... especially if I mean when Pennington gets hurt AGAIN... That guy hasn't played a full half of a season yet...

Perhaps. But I also know there's no way on God's green earth Coles would have burned the Dallas defense twice in a row for two TDs last year. So now I'll claim Moss is the more complete player.

Just remember it's a long season. Coles is having a great year so far. No doubt you are happy he's back in NY.

We are happy Moss is here, so it's all good. :)

Posts like this kill me, how do you know he would have held on to it? Coles does not catch every pass thrown at him and any receiver who gets hit in a timely fashion will drop it. Ray Lewis sure made him cough one up...

Yea like the other guy said, Where were you last year when Moss was tearing it up for the first few weeks?

Hiding and disappointed that we had a start receiver and you got the worse half of the deal.

Funny how some "fans" come out of the woodwork when they think they can try to compare how someone who wetraded for is better than who we got. Moss is better than Coles. Hands Down.

And no, Coles wouldnt have held onto that pass against minny.

I am absolutely ecstatic to see Lav Coles returning to form. The guy had some bad breaks in life and we here in Washington love and adore him. He didn't want to be here anymore so what do you want us to say? I remember everyone here was very sad to see him get away. We got Moss in return and Santana has lit it up.
It's straight up logic that the addition of 2 more big time WRs in the Redskins offense would take away a bit of Moss' spark, but he's still our leading WR by a mile so stop acting like our guy has gone in the tank.
If there were some here who poo-pooed Coles after he left, it's natural because he WANTED to leave. Some of us felt "jilted."
We're glad to have Moss, you guys are glad to have Coles. All is well.

yeah yeah, after 3 games..so WHAT? Moss is still a better player and frankly we got the better end of the deal.

I remember Coles dropping a ton of passes for us in 04. Though it's good to see he may have fully recovered from that toe problem.

I always liked Coles and I still do. I don't get why so many Skins fans hate him. He played his ass off for us. Remember that hustle play against Seattle in 03? He was great.

Yeah he wanted out, but at least he kept the problems in house, and he didn't trash the organization after leaving like some do.

So many people cried and bitched when Lavar left, but Coles was 1000000x the Redskin Lavar ever was.

WRONG he was a stand up character player for the skins. He was never a problem and he played with 100% heart every down. The guy was hines ward tough. He didn't vent his frustration through a 6-10 season and waited untill after and took it too managment.

I hope Coles does a have a good year he is a helluva reciever but I'm happy with Moss.

i think if you have a team like we did last year and you only had 1 WR to pick from btw. moss and coles i would take moss. Moss, unlike coles, is capable of carrying your team much like steve smith does for carolina. He can turn small plays into huge ones and is more dangerous then coles. That being said in light of our new WR corps coles might now be the better fit, because we have the big play potential and finess in el and lloyd and so coles' toughness is actually what the redskins could use to give us balance. Despite my feeling about coles i absolutely love moss and i'm completely happy w/ him.

I knew it was a win-win trade for both teams and said so before the 2005 season.

How long do you think that's going to continue w/ your leading rusher averaging 2.9/carry?

Curtis Martin played with two high ankle sprains when Chad & Coles lit up the NFL in 2002. I see no reason why they can't do it again in 2006 even with a (at the moment) weaker running game.

BTW Laveranues Coles was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.:applause:

http://www.newyorkjets.com/articles/coles-named-afc-offensive-player-of-the-month-585

New York Jets wide receiver Laveranues Coles has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September. Coles’ 331 yards receiving are the most by a Jets’ receiver through the first three games of a season since Hall of Famer receiver Don Maynard totaled 356 yards in 1968.
