The Redskins are so pathetically conservative that it is almost embarrasing. It will be refreshing to see guys with a mean streak like Arenas and Butler for a change. The skins break your heart to watch because they can never live up to expectations. It will be good to see Arenas tearing the NBA up.

i really hope they do well this year. They are supposedly tuning up the defense. If they had any defense at all last year, they would have been pretty damn good.
Darius Songalia should help with this. I am a little scared of the bulls this year. They added some real talent to their roster, and i could see them making a strong playoff push

Has everyone watched the wizards scrimmage from saturday?
There is a 7 minute highlight of it on You-Tube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt5x9VHALuA
Deshawn Stevenson is nice he is tearing it up,
Caron looks like he added 5 inches to his vertical,
And Andray Blatche drives from the 3-point line and glides what looks like forever for a 2 handed dunk.
It helped me get over today. Kind of.
I didn't realize that Deshawn and Gilbert knew each other, from reading Steinberg's blog it sounds like they are pretty good friends actually. They are on the same team in the scrimmage and seem to have great chemistry, it is really nice to see Gil be comfortable with his off guard - he never had that last year and definately seems to have a lot of trust in Deshawn.
Deshawn is freaking explosive, I'd be amazed if he averages less that 15-16 points at the least.

Yeah, I know at the least the Wiz will be competitive and make the playoffs, and they do a much better job from a managerial/FO position.
It helps when you have a player who is arguably the best at his position, or at the least top 10 in the league in general.

I cant believe you guys didnt notice Jarvis Hayes #24 tearin it up. It would be great to have him back playing like that this season.

Wizards season can't come fast enough. At least we don't have to wait all week like we do for the Skins, only to be bitterly disappointed.

Nothing surprising.....alot of scoring and very little defense....an air ball....the white team getting 4 or 5 attempts to shoot at one point...wasnt that great a scrimmage by the youtube clip

His shot was definately on, once his knee isn't sore - which will happen soon I'm pretty sure since it is just inflammation from the bone, no ligament damage, :fingersx:
He will be great - I really have no idea how good Jarvis is, or how much of an impact he will have - I have a hard time remembering how he plays when he doesn't have a crack in his kneecap! (makes me cringe just thinking about that)
