10. Alex Smith
9. Jay Cutler
8. Bruce Gradkowski
7. Aaron Rodgers
6. Matt Schaub
5. Vince Young
4. Matt Leinart
3. Eli Manning
2. Phillip Rivers
1. Ben Roethlisberger
Not a bad list. I'd move Schaub up and maybe Manning down a spot or two. Gradkowski isn't better long term than Cutler or Smith.
They have 3 or 4 guys who aren't starting right now or have even taken an NFL snap. Anyone worried to see no Campbell on the list?

I don't know how they can even compare the guys who have started 16+ games to those who have only played spot duty or 1-2 starts.
That being said, I don't think Rothlisberger is as good as the media says he is. Put him on any of the other teams and he would be awful. When you only have to throw the ball 15-20 times per game b/c your run game and defense is just destroying other teams, it makes it MUCH easier on the QB. What made him a SB QB was ability to avoid stupid plays (INTs, big sacks, fumble).

QB's who have not taken a snap or only taken a few in mop-up duty do not belong on the list.
The only reason anyone would be worried about Campbell or Romo not being on the list is if they wish they had more playing time!

Considering there's no Eagle on the list and reading you last sentence, I qualify this thread as trolling....
Imagine, WB trolling...what is this world coming to?

tr1, we had a great offseason together. You never accused anyone of trolling.....until the regular season went down the tubes for the Skins. In the last week, you have been firing off relentlessly about all the trolls in this forum. I think you need to read the forum guidelines about what is discussed in this section.
To use your line "If you don't like what I write, put me on ignore or don't read my threads. I love you man.

Tough to gauge who ranks where when some of the players have played very little to none in real games. I thought Cutler looked better than Rodgers in the preseason and the jury is still out on some of the others. I have to give Ben the top spot just because of what he has done up till now. Someone else needs to step up and knock him out of the number one spot.

I cant for the life of me figure out why Alex Smith is ranked 10th on that list. Statistically he is beating almost every QB on that list with what most dub a much worse team. As the youngest QB on the list and a QB where many said it would take time to adjust to under center, I dont see how with his success this year he is still at number 10 behind a person who was drafted 23 spots after him and rookies that havent started or have started 2 or 3 games.
His stats for the year include 1285 passing yards 8 TD's 4 INTs and a 86.4 QB Rating.

That's to be expected, when you havn't played one regular season game
How Aaron Rodgers is even on that list is beyond me. I guess because considered to be a top ten pick.

Responded before the edit :) It's because those guys were hyped coming out of the draft. They were both considered top ten guys.
There was little hype surrounding Campbell.

Not to mention Rodgers was a Tedford pupil - like Kyle Boller...name one sucessful Tedford pupil.

From SI in June of 2006 "Well, you know Joe Gibbs is a veteran-loving guy. But he picked Campbell in the first round for a reason -- he loves the kid's potential. I do too. I remember sitting in Phil Simms' office in northern New Jersey 16 months ago looking at the quarterbacks in the 2005 draft, and I remember thinking: Campbell's the best guy out there. If I were Gibbs, I would give him an equal shot in training camp. I don't think that's going to happen. I think Mark Brunell will have to be a C-minus quarterback this summer for Campbell to get a real shot to play early in the season."

What a difference a couple of months makes, they go from saying he's the best of the 2005 draft, to not even mentioning him; two different writers, though, so I guess this list can vary from writer to writer.

Rivers over Eli is a little absurd
Roth #1 because of the superbowl
Manning # 2

Rivers should be #1.
He's already made more big plays than I've seen Big Ben make.
I'd also put Lienart at 2.

I don't see how they are ranking guys on that list that haven't even played a snap yet either. Rodgers and Cutler? What have they done?

Well, WB, considering that Jason Campbell is 25, and is therefore not under 25, I'm really more worried about your inability to count.

I'd put Smith higher and probably drop Rodgers to #10, though really Rodgers and Campbell would be like 10A and 10B considering they're both in the same exact situation, though to Rodgers's credit at least he's 2nd string(right?).

I think this list should include only starting QB's under 25 but that would cut it down in people quite a bit and top 10 sounds so catchy...
I think when Romo and Campbell are ready to start they will be at the top of this list.

Roethlisberger is grossly overrated. He is a good game manager that is backed up by a strong defense and solid running game.
And I can't believe they put Alex Smith behind two guys who haven't even seen the field or seen it only sparingly.

Anyways this list is completely bogus. How the hell can you rank players that havent even taken a snap in the NFL yet? The top 3 under 25 QBs I've seen play are Leinart, Rivers and Smith.

The list doesnt mention the guy from Harvard who played when mark bulger got hurt. He is better than gradkowski.
At least he has played games unlike Rodgers.

The Phillip Rivers lovefest is a bit much for me. The guy has played all of 5 games and three of them were against HORRIBLE teams. If Ben gets props for winning the SB, shouldn't Eli get props for winning a division and leading a top 5 offense in 2005? This season the offense is ranked second.

GG is right. Cutler's going to be a stud. He's not on that lis because he did well in the preseason, he's on that list cause he did great.
In 2-3 years he might be the best QB on that list.
