View Full Version : Tom Cruise the Cause of the Skin's Dissapointing Start?

Now I have had this theory since week one, but after the performance against the Titans I think I feel pretty good about it. So here it goes. I think that it's possible that Tom Cruise as a part owner is a bad omen for this team. Think about it, when was the last time Cruise received any good publicity. (Sorry, jumping on Oprah's couch does not count) For those who believe in God, Allah, G-d, etc., due to the fact that Cruise is a scientologist there may be no reason for the Almighty to bless the team with a little divine intervention. Aside from the Jaguars game (maybe Cruise wasn't present at FedEx that day ;) ), the Skins have lost too many games that could call for divine intervention. Week one, John Hall misses a makeable FG to send the game into OT, and last week against the Titans, the Skins were just dominated in the second half (possibly signifiying when Cruise arrived). Those two games which should have been won would have the Redskins at 4-2 instead of 2-4. Any thoughts this theory and Tom in general?

Are you serious?

I mean, I hate Tom Cruise too, but this is just wayyyyyyyyy too far-fetched.

It's just a fun little theory.

I still blame John Madden. Ethan Albright just hasn't been the same since his rating in Madden football.

>I think that it's possible that Tom Cruise as a part owner is a bad omen >for this team.

Since when did Tom Cruise become part owner of the Redskins?

After Paramount dumped Tom, Dan's firm signed him to a two-year development deal. This has nothing to do with the Redskins. It's actually a pretty smart business move by Snyder, because Cruise, while a little loopy, is still bank at the theater.

No, I don't think Tom had anything to do with the Redskins. If he did, don't you think he would have been stomping onto the field and jumping up and down mid field?

Na, isn't he for that 7 flags thing?

Good thing I have a private line to Xenu-
::Furiously dials phone to Scientology's Dark Lord. Berates Xenu.::

Ah, Mr. Cruise will bother us no more and the 'skins shall re-gain their winning ways. You can thank me later. :-)

Wow I have seen at least 7 of these threads....and to everyone who tries to come up with a scientific theory about why Tom Cruise is the reason the Redskins are 2-4....just stop.

Hanging out in Tampa this weekend, I tried to recruit some Eagles fans I know to raid the Scientology office we ran into. The local rock station says we should hug them and tell them Jesus loves them anyway.

I was content just to ruin it for the Eagles tourists cheering at my friend by pointing out that they ought to look at the hat I was wearing behind him. :) Sure, they made fun of me in response but I was thinking 6-10/sweep the whole time myself.

YES! It all makes sense now. TC has Gibb's dog kidnapped and is in a spaceship. The Aliens won't harm him as long as their envoy - MB - (who claims to be a Christian but now we all know better) remains at QB. He must be the Intergalactic overlord who has conqured every planet known to alien-kind. But it all pales to a SuperBowl.

So let's all chip in and send Blondie into outerspace. She can sweet talk the Alien Captain into releasing the dog and we'll be free of MB once and for all! :)

It oculd be that tom is under some curse or judgement from God and is bringing that curse over the team by becoming partners with Dan. Anyone know how Dan's other ventures are going???? If it's true from a bible/christian perspective it should be hitting danny boy on all key fronts.
