• Washington at Indianapolis (-81/2): The Colts' defense has had big problems stopping the run, ranking last in yards per carry (5.2) and yards per game (166.8). The Redskins' success relies on Clinton Portis and the running game as quarterback Mark Brunell has not shown a good grasp of the new offense. Indianapolis is only 3-7 against the spread off a bye week, including playoff breaks. The Colts needed fourth-quarter drives to beat both Tennessee and the New York Jets. I've got to go with Washington getting the points.

A lot of people would say we are crazy, but there is a lot of truth in that. The Colts aren't as good as their record suggest. This game is very winnable.

The conditions are right for a win simply by the fact that this team is against the ropes. The coaches have been blasted nonstop over the recent losses. The players positions are in question. Hell the very heart and soul of our team was questioned after last week's loss.
With all of that being said, I expect our team to fire todayon all cylinders & play like it is life and death, which it is. The question for me isn't about the offense tomorrow. I expect our offense to put the points & numbers up. The question for me is can our defense finally rise to the occasion or will they continue to fuddle around.
I do pray we win though. I hate coming here when we lose & seeing how bad our reacts and the idea of taking two weeks straight nonstop of it scares me :(. So if we win, I don't have to worry about that for two weeks :)!

If we lose, it's over. It is as simple as that. The points only count in gambling. I would take Indy however, and give 8.5.

If Portis is hot, I can see us covering the spread. I can also see us controlling the clock and winning this game, the Colts can't score if their offense isn't on the field. We need to get back to basics. Run, Run, Run and then you can run some more.

It is Dungy versus Gibbs.
If Belichick can beat Dungy repeatedly I expect the same from Gibbs even though we are on the road and hurting with the injuries. At least Belichick got some practice with the weak Colts team. Gibbs has to play the experienced 06 version which is known as a choke team and probably wants to change that.
That rushing stat about the Colts only exists because the Redskins didn't run the ball on the previous 32nd ranked rush defense last week.
The thing that pisses me off about this game if we win is that there is no reason we should lose to the 0-5 Titans starting a rookie while at home if we can beat the 5-0 Colts on the road.

All he's saying is he thinks we'll lose by less than eight points.
He might be right, but that's a far cry from picking us to win.
Not even going to waste my time on this game...

Just because we'll cover the spread doesn't mean he thinks we'll win. Hopefully, we'll not only cover the spread, but we'll win the damn game through a solid run performance.

True, but some of the "predictors" are expecting a blowout, even some on this board, from what this guy is saying it might be a much closer game than expected. If its a close game, we have a good possibility of winning.

If we win this game we will be about right where a lot of people predicted we would. I had us starting 4-3 but many others said 3-4.
