I will be VERY patient with him. THe only way this franchise will get well will be through him, no matter how long that takes. We just need to stay patient as fans, and the Redskins need to be patient as an organization and try not to change too much, so that when everyone finally gets this offense and is on the same page, then we will return to form next year.

yeah i dont care if he doesn't win us 1 game this season, as long as he gets the in-game experience he'll need when hes our starter next year

Very patient....very very patient!!!
I will be looking at alot of mistakes, only hopefully showing a little bit of progression from week to week. Maybe when the last 2 weeks roll around we will see that our future is bright. Hell, if our offense consist of dumping it off to the back on 90% of the pass plays Jason should do just as well as Mark in that department.

Very patient. He is a rookie, not a 36 year old vet.

Extremely patient because we expect nothing from him. We just want him to learn and get better for next year.

Just because WE think Brunell should be benched doesnt mean he really is, Joe Gibbs is goin to stick with him until we are out of contention.

I want to see some promise. Hopefully he won't be Ryan leaf / Heath Shuler deplorable.
If he is I'll slit my wrists.

If a change is made, and that's a very big if, don't be surprised if Todd Collins is the new starter.

I don't think Brunell will be benched. I think that Gibbs is intent on losing with Brunell rather than acknowledging his misjudgement.

Mark isn't done! Check his stats...he will still be the starter. Right or wrong, he will start against Dallas.

 I forgot the stad padding end of game drive in a blowout. Since Gibbs refuses to put in another guy in a blowout to get some snaps.
What stats anyway? He had half the yardage as manning on the same # of completions.

if we're not gonna make the playoffs we might as well lose every game and let JC play. But the fans need to be patient and realize that JC isnt going to win a lot of games.

Mark Brunell is the least of the Skins problems. The defense is terrible, Al Saunders is not adjusting his scheme to the players and I think it mainly shows by not using enough tight ends to help with protection. But Mark Brunell is not the problem at all.

Our sacrifice with Campbell making mistakes and stupid errors, caused he got to the feel for the game and be prepared for next year. Lets face it guys we are done for this years so let have nothing but patient for our future Qb.

This is probably the worst season i've ever watched as a Skins fan so any expectations I had are now squashed. I'm pretty sure most fans will be very patient with Campbell simply because this season has gone so bad nobody really cares anymore.

It doesn't really matter who QBs this team as long as there aren't fundamental changes made to how this football team is run. This team needs a full scale rebuild with somebody that's in charge to make the draft choices and picks the coaches.
The inconsistency of this team starts with inconsistency at the top and I'm starting to think that the jig is finally up for Joe Gibbs. Gibbs has betrayed himself by bringing in outsiders and doing what he promised he wouldn't do. Getting rid of core Redskins players.

There is something wrong with the team but i really do not see it being the fault of the FA brought in look at the starters over the last few years and there is not a great deal of change . I think the bigger problems is the team isn't getting the offensive system down quick enough and the fact the defence has been plauged with injuries and dinks that have kept players playing.
Just look at the personnel
QB - Same, Brunell
RB - Same Portis - Betts has a bigger role but he was also here last year
HB/FB/TE - Sellers and Cooley are the play makers here and hold overs from last year Furria over Royal is no biggie
OL - All starters return for 3rd consecutive year
WR - Patten, Moss, Thrash all remain Lloyd and ARE are new commers and the bigest change to this offence - Jacobs is the only WR to go core skin ?
Defence
DL - Daniels, Salvea, Griffin - All starters from last year Carter is the new commer
CB - Springs Rogers starters remain - Harris for Wright/Rumph is the biggest change but this possition has been hit by plyaers not being up to speed or injured
S - Taylor - the only hold over , Clark, Stoutmire, Bowen went - biggest change on the team
LB - Marshell, Washington, Holdman were the defacto starters this year and last so no big changes .

Gibbs is going to start Brunell next week and it's a damn shame. In my opinion, Gibbs II is a pathetic excuse for an NFL head coach. There isn't a coach in this league that would continue to run out that POS Brunell every week when it is so painfully obvious that this season is already down the toilet. I have had it with Gibbs bull**** remarks after every loss. I can't wait until he retires again, the Redskins will be better off for it.

Let's give him the rest of the season, if he sucks we should trade him 4 a 3 rounder and draft Brady Quinn.
We need a franchise Qb and not another $$&$% like Ramsey.

I'm not expecting much from JC, since Gibbs drafted him. If he stinks, hopefully we don't wait as long as Heath Schuler to notice the smell. But he deserves a shot.
As far MB goes, I expect he has a few more 5 yard Go routes to call for this coach and this team. Look, Gibbs II has failed. We need to clean house. Get a young and hungry coach, a real GM, and build from the ground up. Oh, I forgot, Snyder....

This Is The Thing No Matter Who Is The Qb. We Will Have The Same Outcome. Unless We Have Some Of The Play Calling Changed. We Should Have Left Saunders In Kc. Gibbs Need To Go Back To Making The Plays. That Is What Worked For Us. Mark Is Still A Good Qb. If He Wasn't Then Gibbs Would Not Have Him Playing. The Man Is In The Hall Of Fame For A Reason. He Has Three Super Bowl Rings For A Reason. I Would Like To See The Youngster Get In Some Plays Since He Is Suppose To Be The Future Of The Team. These Screen Passes Is Not Going To Work. How Can We Have 3rd And 5 And You Throw A Two Yard Pass. Now Our Defense Need To Learn How To Tackle And Cover And Pressure The Offense Of The Other Team. The Whole Team Needs A Kick In The Butt.

It's getting to the point where it doesn't MATTER whether Brunell is the problem. If the team isn't going anywhere, we need to start thinking about 2007 and beyond, which means we need to start getting JC some experience.
I can maybe buy the argument that Brunell isn't the problem, but it's becoming a moot point as the season goes down the drain.

i will be 100% patient this year . i dont care if he wins one game as long as he progresses. i will be very patient next year as well so long as he is improving. however if after the rest of this season and off season and next year he is unable to show any level of improvement...it may be back to the dradwing board.

And we won't, considering that Brunell is not even close to being our biggest problem.

The defense is terrible, Al Saunders is not adjusting his scheme to the players and I think it mainly shows by not using enough tight ends to help with protection. But Mark Brunell is not the problem at all. As I sat in the RCA dome and watched the Skins live for the first time this year I couldnt help but notice how the Colts stack on Moss and Portis and leave other receivers in one on one coverage with no help. The Colts were daring Brunell to throw deep. I have always been against Brunell but in spite of our other glaring problems,Brunell is a bigger problem than even I gave him credit for.

Seriously, are you guys even watching the games? How many times does Brunell have to throw short of the first down marker for you to realize he sucks? How many times do you have to see him scramble out of the pocket into a sack when he could have made time stepping up in the pocket?
Just under 120 yards passing through 3 quarters against one of the NFLs worst defenses, and you're still trying to tell me to look past his deficiencies and instead blame the defense?
The super smart courageous play of Brunell isn't getting it done. Is it his fault entirely that we're 2-5 right now? No absolutely not, but if we had gotten just a little bit more out of the QB position we could be sitting at 4-3 right now with home wins against the Vikings and Titans.
Brunell is done, put a fork in him.

guys it is the defence that is costing us not the offence, it is time the D picked up the ball and ran with it so to speak

Yes the defense has issues, but if the Offense could stay on the field longer, those problems would be much smaller.
