I'm a skins fan and we are treating Brunell like Drew. But the 4 sacks wasn't Drew's fault and every says it is his movement, well, you shouldn't have to run against pressure. YEs, the 1st pick was bad, but roma threw 3.

I am just trying to say that the move by Parcells wasn't very smart, if your going to switch a QB, you know before the game starts.

But let's look at the brightside, Campbell will be starting before this season is out and TOny "Homo" hasn't even started a game at age 26.

I've always felt bad for vets who get pulled. No matter who they play for, but this is a young mans game and Bledsoe is done.

I try not to lose too much sleep over millionaires getting yanked.

I don't feel sorry for Bledsoe, but at least Parcells is getting it. If his vet can't perform, bring in the young guy.

Drew is a 14 year vet who cannot move out of his own way and still makes rookie mistakes quite often. Do I feel bad for him NO!

I think the move by Parcells was long overdue.

Romo has spent 3 years on the bench. Hopefully that experience will benefit him.

I'm not sure why anybody would feel sorry for Bledsoe. He's had a productive career, made a ton of money, went to 2 Super Bowls while getting 1 Super Bowl victory and now he could retire at only 35 years old with tons of money in the bank and time to spend with his family. Not to mention he gets a $325,000 a year pension from the NFL once he retires.

He didn't get benched just for the sake of it or for some bias that Parcells has against him. I'd feel more sorry for somebody like Romo if he were never to get a shot that he earned than for a QB who gets benched in the twilight of his career.

The only way I'd feel for Bledsoe is if fans were threatening harm on him or his family, but I haven't heard any of that. He could retire tomorrow, healthy, still relatively young in life, and have played a fine career. Probably only 1% of the world has live the same quality of life he has had.

No, because after Gibbs gives Campbell all of two games to prove himself, he'll tell Vinny C to get him another veteran qb. Vinny C will then trade two firsts to Dallas for Bledsoe, even though Dallas was planning on simply releasing him. The Danny will then give Bledsoe a massive signing bonus, making it even harder for the Skins to sign any players for depth at cornerback and defensive line.

The 3rd sack, 2nd Strahan one was on Bledsoe, held onto that ball way too long. Had no chance with the first two and the 4th where they called a sack even though he was able to get the ball away. That INT was pitiful, though. It was time for a change and I don't feel bad for him. If he doesn't wanna get benched, stop making mongoloid-like decisions.

Hey, I feel bad for Drew too...well, as bad as somebody CAN feel for a multi-millionaire who sucks at his job.

I missed the monday night game, but the description on nfl.com is hilarious. The crowd cheers Romo's name all night--Bledsoe gets yanked, and then what happens on Romo's first snap? Interception! Even if it wasn't Romo's fault, fans need to realize that it's not always Drew's fault either. Romo is going to struggle.

Only a little-

Drew is super-smart, fights his guts out, still HAS an arm when he has the time to make the throws but now just makes stupid mistakes, and he has something #8 doesn't-a SB ring.

But unless you are still 100% on top of your game at age 35, it's time to expect to sit.

Although it's a fact of life that an NFL QB's career eventually will come to an end, it's still a little sad to see a guy who has been productive throughout his career lose his job. But it IS a fact of life, and eventually the trigger must be pulled.

I don't really think of Bledsoe so much as a Cowboy, since he's only been there lately and his best years were at other teams, so I don't "hate" him with a white-hot "hatred" that I would normally reserve for an Aikman or a Staubach.

At least Parcells pulled the trigger. Gibbs is going to have to do the same very soon!

I don't feel sorry for Drew no more than I would for any quarterback. He's a NFL qb and himself has replaced other qbs during his career. Its the nature of the game.

I think anyone that has ever played sports that they had to quit/retire from because they just "didn't have it anymore", can empathize. I feel the same way for Favre, Brunell, Jerry Rice, Ray Brown, etc. It's just SO hard to play at a competitive level for over 1/2 of their lives and then be passed up (no pun intended) by young bucks. Some players deal with it better/wiser and get out before that happens (Barry Sanders, Tiki, Darrell Green to name a few), where others have to be cattle-prodded out to pasture.

Getting old sucks. In my mind I can still play rugby. But if get out on the pitch, others' bodies are going to show my body that it can't! :(
