View Full Version : Skins' defense finally gets a chance to play together

The Washington Redskins' defense hopes to hold a reunion Sunday.

For the first time this season, the 11 starters coach Joe Gibbs and assistant head coach/defense Gregg Williams envisioned during training camp will take the field when the Redskins host Dallas.

That means Cornelius Griffin and Joe Salave'a will man the tackle spots, something they've done together just three times this season.

It means that for the first time since the playoff loss at Seattle last January, cornerbacks Shawn Springs and Carlos Rogers will line up opposite each other.

Yeah but are they 100% or just healthy enough to be on the field?

I'm glad they're all together, but I'm sure there are still plenty of bumps and bruises on these guys. Hopefully they'll make it through the whole game together. This year just feels like a nightmare that we can't wake up from...

That's good, but if the REDSKINS offense continues it's three and out parade it won't matter. The defense will still get worn down.

This season has really reemphasized the fact that a good team on paper won't necessarily be a good team on the field. Hopefully they bring it Sunday.

Even if they are finally together, they still don't have the personnel to be successful.

I think both Griffin AND Joe are not even on the injury report, so that bodes well for how healthy they are.
