Dunno how much credibility is in this, but it isn't a suprise either way. I'm actually looking forward to Moss being out, because it forces things to change.

he's right, moss IS OUT....heard it on 980...via joe gibbs...apparently the no practice, no play rule applies to EVERYONE, even if it means >50% of your season's passing yards will be absent against the most hated rival in a game that's do or die for the season.
oh well, shouldnt have shelled out a G for 4 suite seats

John Keim is a beat reporter reporting on the skins. He's legit.

I guess picking up two WRs in the offseason wasn't a bad idea after all... ;)

Well we played the first Cowboy game without CP, only fitting that we play this one without Moss. If only we could miss you know who for a couple of games.

 Darn. It would be nice to have him as a decoy even if he wasn't 100%.
On the bright side, now they don't know what we are going to do, so that's a good thing. I don't even know what we are going to do. Does anyone?
Run, run and run some more? Get the ball to Cooley and ARE? Lloyd? All three? :whoknows:

I know that with Moss out, that means our other receivers have to step up and our QB has to look for other receivers, but Moss is our best receiver and has had great success against Dallas. I'd really like to see him play.

Hopefully this does not transform into a "You know who" sucks thread

Way too much to spend on a Football game, anyway.

Stallworth missed 3 of 4 games for the Eagles with a bad hammy after having similiar issues in NO? Don't you think they could have used Donovan's #1 target lately? Yes...these things can linger.

Yeah, I'm bummed but I'm just not sure if makes a ton of difference. The deep cover 2 has pretty much rendered Santana useless this season anyways. I will jump on the "at least things will change" pile.

The good news is that Brunell has missed practices, so he shouldn't play either.

He has missed practices, but he has also made practices since the last game. The rule is that if you don't practice, you don't play. Even one practice is considered practicing, hence the Jaguars game when Brunell started.

I can't imagine that they would declare him out on a Friday with a hamstring injury. That's usually a last minute call.

He didn't practice. He won't play. Thems the rules. :(

Moss is our best WR, but Lloyd has had success against Dallas too, so hopefully he and the other receivers will step it up. I think Cooley is gonna have his best game so far this season....just a gut feeling really.

Hehe, guess I'll start Cooley in my fantasy league. He'll probably have 30 balls go his way.

Well, if we wanted to be a champion caliber team, we would have to be able to overcome obstacles like these. So far, we haven't been able to on the defensive side. Let's see how our offense handles it.

Yeah... Brunell, completely banged up, would always make the practices and play, unfortunately.

Just realized that Betts has more receptions than Cooley, Lloyd, and ARE. That is freakin' absurd.

Wouldn't be surprised if Moss is out for more than just this game.
Regarding this game, hopefully this means that Saunders will make it a point to run the friggin football in this game.

Against the No 4 defense in the NFL that is a good one. Moss is out and
portis have a high ankle sprain.

Is this the start of the Santana is injury proned threads. All of these smallish, fast recievers get these hammy's and i'd rather he sit this game and come back in 1 or 2 weeks than play at 50% and not play the rest of the season. If he can't run full speed, Santana is of no use to the Dink and Dunk.

What makes you think that I know that hammy injuries can linger but I do not expect to be out 10 weeks including the bye week

Redskins' Moss Won't Play vs. Cowboys

Washington Redskins receiver Santana Moss missed his sixth consecutive practice Friday with an injured left hamstring and isn't expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys.
Asked whether he'd ruled out Moss for Sunday's game, Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said: 'Yeah. Looks more and more like it will be hard to have him go.'
Moss has more yards receiving (435) than the other four wideouts on the roster combined (397). He was injured during Washington's last game, a 36-22 loss at Indianapolis on Oct. 22, and hasn't practiced since.
'You're going to miss Santana. We all know that. We have to have other guys step up,' Gibbs said. 'It's why we have the guys we do at that position. Hopefully that will happen.'

Sigh. Rats. Okay. Time for the other fellows to make a stronger appearance and to see how well Al adjusts for this.
