Ball State (yeah, Ball State) was down by 8 with a chance to score with 3 min. left in the game. The pass in the endzone was incomplete and UM should run the clock out now. This was the #2 team in the country hosting a Mac team that lost to North Dakota State (D1AA).

I used to think UM's D could hold OSU, but I think Buckeyes roll by double digits now.

It's one game and it's NCAA football. That's what makes it so exciting.

Sure it's one game, exciting and all that good stuff. The point is that this is supposed to be a national title contending team. Maybe they were looking past them...but it was at home and the game came down to the final play. Definitely won't help "style points" if they end up being a one-loss team.

Your right, but the W is all that counts. A close game to Ball State does nothing to change my mind that Michigan is one of the best teams in the country. Just like the loss to Louisville SHOULD NOT(yes, you read correctly) drop WVU out of the top ten.

All i want is for MANNINGHAM and the michigan squad to shove it down the throats of those OSU PUNKS!!!!

Both Michigan and Ohio State were looking ahead and played down to weak opponents last week.

Both of them woke up this week and routed their opponents with ease.

They are clearly the two best teams in the country this year.

probably true, but if osu beats michigan handily, one would have to question the wolverines. outside of beating the most overrated team in the country, they haven't had to do a whole lot.

Besides beating a Texas team that just lost to KSU, what has OSU done? Remember, we are the team that beat the only other currently ranked Big 10 team - Wisconsin. 11-0 is 11-0.

That Texas team was ALOT different then the one OSU faced due to various key injuries. That being said, Michigan is hardly overrated and has played a tougher schedule this year due to the Big Ten scheduling. Both teams missed Purdue, and Wisconsin is much better than Illinois.

The anticapation is killing me....

All that would tell me is that Ohio State truly is a great team.

Michigan destroyed Notre Dame. You may say they are overrated, but that game still is the only loss ND has suffered this year.

Michigan handled Wisconsin. Wisconsin is otherwise undefeated this year.

Michigan beat Penn State. Penn State has 3 other losses, but they happen to be against the aforementioned Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Ohio State. Quality team.

Iowa and Purdue are also likley to be bowl bound this year.

1st in what?? You got to stop drinking that moonshine up there...........While I will admit you all are a fun team to watch your defense is awful and defense wins championship therefore you will not win a championship.

How can you think your going to be 1st when you lost to Louisville and still have to play rutgers?

Take care of your business you if your lucky you will get a shot of us in a bowl game but if we lose to OSU we go to Rose Bowl and I think WV would go to Sugar or Orange if they win the Big East. Goodluck.

Because we are going to crush Rutgers, take the Big East BCS berth, and repeat what we did last year in the Sugar Bowl.

The Big East rep can go to any bowl. The loser of Michigan/OSU gets an at-large berth and can also go to any bowl. Just so ya know.

And i will NOT stop drinking the moonshine. You should try it sometime. :)

No the loser of the OSU/Michigan game goes to the Rose Bowl, the Big Ten and Rose Bowl have an agreement in place that the winner of the conference goes to that bowl unless that team is playin for the championship.....However the loser gets an at large bid and the rose bowl has the right to select a Big ten team which they have stated they will do.

yes Big east winner can go to any bowl I was just sayin that more then likely will go to Sugar or Orange since they are closer.

BTW, never had moonshine but Im all for tryin it if can send me some!

Orange is a possibilty. I wouldnt want that one because whupping the ACC rep wont win us any respect points. Sugar is probably out since we were in that last year.

Ive read at least 2 "expert projections" that have us against Michigan in the Rose Bowl. I would love love LOVE to see our running attack vs Michigans run D.

I have a bottle in my closet. :) Im keeping it though.

Anyways, im about done with the buildup to the Big Game. Good luck to both teams. Im not pulling for either, im just hoping it lives up to the hype.

I believe the key to this game will obviously be the quarterback play. Whichever team protects their QB from the opposing defense and allows him to make plays will win. The winning QB will get all of the accolades afterwards, but this game will be won in the trenches like all Big 10 games.
