my boys gotta win this one just to be bowl eligible (gasp). Looks like no Kyle Wright:cheers: no Kenny Phillips:( and the Terps are HOT. This is pathetic 1st time I have been able to see my team play live and I'm not sure I even want to go, if we lose I may storm the field and assault Coker myself.

It seems even Vegas is dumbfounded, no line on Bodog.

the terps are going to beat the canes.

i don't think kill is appropriate at this point. I know it wasn't intentional, but still.

Anyways, Go Terps

This death to Pata might pull this team closer and they could win the rest of their games. Or on the other hand it could really dismantle the squad and lose the rest of their games. We will see what happens.

I can guarantee you that the only thing in the WORLD these kids want is to get on that field and win one for their fallen teammate.

Mike Wise is a fartknocker.

I agree, can't imagine what it will be like for them when they go to the huddle and he's not there. Dorky as it sounds every time I look at any of my 'Canes clothes I get that empty feeling inside, last night I went to my bedroom to watch TV because I kept staring at my print of the Orange Bowl.

The line on the game was finally released Miami +3 1/2. I figured we'd at least be getting 5, it'll probably go down to 3 by kickoff.

I'll be at the game with some friends. It's going to be a great game I think with Miami feeling really emotional after Patas death. This game will not be easy for the Terps by any means. Miami will want to win this one for Pata so look for a really close game.

As for the actual game, I'm a little worried about Maryland's speed. Although, our speed should more than make up for that. Greg Olsen should have a big game and I'm looking for Javaris James and Tyrone Moss to run well...

Miami 34 Maryland 13 :)

Relax man, I think it was the way the game ended and the emotion in the waning minutes that made people rush the field. Besides when we're winning national titles again in a few year's when Terp fan's and alum reflect that they beat Miami it will be all to well forgotten the circumstances of which the win came.

Anywho great game UMD, two beautiful TD's from Hollenbach to -Rey. And another great game for Wes Jefferson future NFL linebacker who just happens to be from my High School, Gwynn Park.

Go win the ACC now!:applause:

Yeah it was a tough victory and no matter what it was still against the U!! Of course fans are going to get excited. This team looked destined for 5-7 early in the year and we are now 8-2 with a great shot of playing GT in the ACC title game.

Well perhaps because it is the first time in 11 years that the Terps have beat FSU and UM in the same season. Also, looks like they still have a chance for the ACCCG.

Dude a win is a win. But a win over a supposed ACC powerhouse is a WIN. Couple that with a sweep of the 2 Florida ACC teams, The students had every right to charge the field. If you didn't like it oh well. Besides you guys are in College, you are supposed to enjoy yourself.

BTW its Miami, not Mimai. :silly: No wonder you don't care, you can't even spell the teams name right. :silly:

Wow I thought you were joking when you said 34-13 Miami........ guess not

Who would've thought the U would be 5-5??
I was also @ the game in the Student Section it seemed about half rushed the field.
I decided against it once I considered that the team we beat is a .500 team with wins against Florida A&M Houston UNC Duke and Florida International.

"There's a lot of things that are very different, but I find in my mind that I have to accept it," said Portis, a cousin of Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis. "I'm not used to it.

Portis's cousin Josh was a top recruit as a quarterback for the University of Florida (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Florida), but later transferred to the University of Maryland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Maryland).

I was at the game, great atomosphere. I didn't rush the field because I thought it was somewhat unnecesssary to do so considering we were favored, and the U did suffer a death to a teammate during the week.

However, I'm not going to be critical of those who did since the emotion during the game was so high at the end (almost gave the game away), and obviously we did just beat "The U."

The Terps have a great streak going, it would be nice if every game did not come down to the very end (with a Terps win of course), but I'll take them over a loss. Doesn't look like we are going to blowout anyone any time soon with a great matchup at Boston College next weekend. #21 Terps at #20 BC if I have the new rankings right, probably the best game in the ACC next weekend.

Fear The Turtle!!! We Believe!

By the way, Darius Heyward-Bey is a beast!!!! And I also saw Ekene Ibekwe with Parrish Brown (I think it was Brown, and another basketball player I didn't recognzie) at applebee's after the game....pretty cool.

I'll vote for VT@Wake, but I can see that side of it too.

How crazy is it that the ACC Atlantic is going to come down to the winner of Wake@Maryland?

Yea, who would have thought??

Noone saw that coming. And sorry didn't notice VT was at Wake. Thats a great matchup as well. Definetely rooting for the Hokies even though I still think it comes down to the Wake MD game in two weeks anyways.

And although the ACC clearly has not been the superconference that people expected when Miami, V Tech and Bc joined, it sure is a deep conference. Although there does not seem to be any dominant teams, every team is relatively tough, outside of UNC and Duke having rough seasons again. But with Butch Davis coming to UNC, they could be a force to be reckoned with as well.

I read something in the Washington Post today that said the ACC was on the rise because 6 teams from the ACC (thats half the conference) are now in the top 25.

I was at the game, first real college game I had been to (I don't count the countless I-AA games as they aren't I-A sized). The I-AA Championship still had a smaller than 20k crowd, while this UMD crowd filled up the stadium.

Anyways, I charged the field with my friend, but only cause we wanted to see if we could find someone on the team my friend knows, I personally didn't realize I was "charging the field" until afterwards, heh, effin drinks.
