This year the Redskins play the NFC South (Panthers, Bucs, Falcons, and Saints) they also play the AFC South (Colts, Jags, Texans, and Titans) along with teams in our own division, Giants, Cowboys, and Eagles twice.

This is a total of 14 games, how is it decided who our other two games are going to be against?

This year those two games being vs the Rams and Vikings.

Is it just a random select thing or is there some sort of formula?

Curious because im hoping for a road game vs the Panthers next year.

We play the team that finishes in the same slot in the other two NFC divisions.

Therefore, we played the other two 2nd place teams in the NFC from last year.

So to clarify, since we were already playing the NFC South, we'd play the 2nd place team from the North and West.

As for where these games are played, I'm not sure how that is determined.

you play the teams in the 2 divisions you aren't playing that came in the same place as you in your division the previous season. So the skins, rams and vikings all came in second in their respective divisions.

"Schedule"

Thanks for the clarification everyone.

And to this guy, thanks for pointing out the fact that I miss typed.

Way to add another number on the old post counter with a completely pointless reply. Keep up the good work.

I nominate you to read every post on ES and correct all the spelling errors and miss types.

the NFL has a predetermined formula.

We know 14 out of the 16 opponents up to 2009. The final two are based where you finish.

4 games: Interconference-- You play all 4 divisions from the other conference, rotated every 4 years.
4 games: Intraconference-- You play the other 3 division in your conference, rotated every 3 years.
6 games: Divisional games
2 games: Games within your conference based on where you finished. ie 4th place plays other 4th place.

Also, the NFL has fixed it so every team in the nfl will play each other home and away over a certain amount of years.

The smaller the dog, the louder the bark.

I would be embarassed too.

Another meaningless reply to add to the ole post count!!

Thank you again for contributing absolutely nothing to thread.

Keep up the good work and you will have that Hall of Fame avatar in no time.

Didn't know that. I thought they just picked those two at random.

Thanks

What is it with the spell checkers and grammar correctors these days? Someone started a post to clarify the difference between "your" and "you're."

I'm assuming you guys are either teachers or cops, either way you're aggravating. Is this a football forum or an English class?

After you posted that I hope a huge Milwaukee's Best can fell from the sky and crushed you.

So next year we are slotted to play the NFC North(Bears, vikings, green bay, detroit) and the AFC east(New England, jets, Buffalo, Miami)

Also, with the way the standings are now, we would play Arizona and Tampa Bay(haha, this beggining to become a yearly thing)

Add that with our division games, and we have our schedule for next year(if everything stays the same, which it looks like it will)

I agree.

Unless the spelling errors or grammar errors are so bad that you can't really understand the post what in the hell is the point of getting out your red pen and correcting it?

Being that I got responses to my post that answered my question before captain spell check chimed in, i'm going to guess that it wasn't so bad that it couldn't be understood.

If I had anything to do with this site, everytime someone responded in a thread with nothing more than correcting someones spelling or grammar, basiclaly contributing absolutely nothing to the thread, i'd ban them from posting until they read through all the threads correcting atleast 1,000 spelling or grammar errors. Sense that seems to be all they are concerned with anyway. :silly:
