No not the NCAA soccer game from yesterday (terps won 2-0 btw), but the 2K College Hoops Classic Benefiting Coaches vs Cancer matchup @ MSG, NYC

GO TERPS!

The 9:00 pm game is Michigan St. vs (18) Texas. The winner of these two games face each other in the finals tomorrow night. Hoping for a UMD vs Texas matchup! Should be a legit test as to see how this team is doing so far in this young season.

Is there still 3 in the key in college hoops? Those St. John's big men camp out there, its ridiculous.

Terps this good or St Johns this bad?

I'm thinking more like a combination of both.

Terps as a team played very well, Ibekwe and DJ played pretty well. I was hoping Mike Jones would penetrate more and attack the basket rather than settle for three pointers but i guess after four years of watching him i'm settling on the fact that shooting 3s is his game.

Terps played better team ball, and it was obvious that they lacked true pgs' the last 2 years. If they play this well tomorrow I hope the ACC pays attention to this team. Ibekwe, DJ and Mike jones would really excell and put MD in the top 3 in the ACC. Here's hoping!

with actual pgs, md can be very good.. less work for dj, mike and ibekwe= more production from these guys

durant looks like an nba player, pretty raw but surprised to hear he was a maryland stand out. I know gary doesnt like the one year players (carmelo ring a bell?) But cmon, college basketball more than ever should realize that more hs players will be 1-2 year players... I'm tiered of MD losing instate recruits to other schools, especially Texas, GIVE ME A BREAK

Damn! Didn't get a chance to watch the game, but I can't believe how big of a blowout it was.

Its still early, but the two frosh pg's are looking solid which would be a huge step for this team. I also love Ibekwe single handedly outscoring St. Johns in the first half.

Looks like the Terps face the winner between tonight's game between Michigan State and Texas, tomorrow night.

Go Terps!

Very nice blowout win tonight. I hope this is not an aberration like a couple yrs ago when we fired on all cylinders and blew out ranked Memphis very early in the season. That being said, I like the look of the team, especially with Mike Jones shooting lights out.
