View Full Version : Coming unglued in the NFC

Here we are in Dec. Which is the time a team needs to turn it up a few notches if they are going to make a run for the playoffs, not the time to come unglued which is whats been happening in our division. I think maybe we dodged a bullet with last weeks controversy. The Giants have to be at #1 right now as far as coming apart, Philly''s ranked up there as well and Dallas is overdue for TO to act up. Whats your opinion on the teams in the NFC who's sticking and who's coming unglued or has the potential to come unglued at this point?

Philly is done. They are in worse shape than we are. McNabb is the Eagles. When he went down the team, their season went with him. The Giants are near as bad as the Eagles IMO. In fact, I think the Brokebacks will finish them off this Sunday. As for us, I'm not entertaining any playoff thoughts for the Skins until we reach 7-7. As much as I hate to admit it, the Brokebacks are in the best shape right now.

9-7 in the NFC may get you in this year, we just need to have a good Dec. run and hope the rest of the teams keep coming apart.

cowboys will win the division no problem.
giants have so many injuries to both offense and defense, coupled with horrid chemistry problems, theyll be done soon. plus manning as looked beyond awful.
eagles are without mcnabb, therefore they could lose every game the rest of the year.
that leaves us. if our D can play how we did against the panthers, i think were gonna surprise a lot of people. if that was some fluke, we'll be sharing cellar time with the iggles.

Philly is done their chances went out the window when McNabb went down. The Giants just too much finger pointing and fighting among themselves . I just do not see them getting it together.
I hate to say it but I do not see any distractions with the Cowboys they are really playing some real good ball right now.. Cowboys is the team to beat now. I think I will be sick now:laugh: .

Exactly...It's one of the things that has me excited and on edge for this upcoming Sunday. Watch the Skins beat the Falcons, then watch the rest of the NFC paloff teams self-destruct.

I dont think Romo is going to be the savior everyone thinks he is.
I see him messing up a couple of games. Gmen, Eagles done.

The NFC is well, unremarkable. It is a shame, that what used to be a dominant confrence has turned well. soft? It is the joke of the day with the analyst. How the AFC is so much better than the NFC. I guess there right, the records do not lie. Ahh, the good ole days. Rememb11er when you saw an AFC opponent on the schedule, and you said, that's a win!!
Where have the good ole days gone? Now you see an AFC opponent and it's like, well, at least this loss doesn't count against the confrence record.
I feel the AFC has created an atmosphere of winning. They must win, or look at the chances of making the post season, unachievable.
There records speak for themselves. I mean, you have divisional leaders with only 1 loss, maybe 2 for the season. We have already lost 7. Unreal. It's embarrassing. That is why the AFC has dominated the Superbowl now for most of the past decade.
Until the NFC gets their act together, it looks to remain this way for awhile. Just a huge underdog, in the big show.

Wait until Grammatica shanks a few. I still don't think he is the answer and as bad as Vanderpuke is playing, Ferret face Grammatica is not that good. he couldn't beat out the rook in NE, Gostkowski.

 You know, I'm feeling that if a winning team is switching kickers at 7-4 it can only spell trouble over the next five games...maybe it's residue from the 2000 season under Turner lol...

This goes in huge swings. The AFC won 11 of the first 15 SB's, then the NFC won 15 of the next 16, now the AFC has won 7 of the last 9. it will cycle back around.

I love how Redskins fans are picking Dallas to win the division and go to the playoffs. After seeing what this team is capable of last season and seeing how crazy the NFL is this season, I am not predicting a damn thing.

Well, TO is happy because Dallas is winning. As long as they win, you won't hear anything out of his mouth. Also... Romo has passed to TO quite a lot. So there's really nothing for TO to even sneeze at.
Dallas will not be folding. And I hate to say this but... they've got this division pretty much locked.

Not so fast. The Bears and the Seahawks are still pretty darn good. Also, a certain team from the NFCE has been the only team from either conference to beat the "unbeatable" Colts. The Panthers beat the Ravens in B-more. While the AFC has more quality teams overall, I could see the NFC winning the SB this year. :) ;) ;)

I would agree with you there...hell, even us lowly 4-7 Redskins got two of our wins against AFC team lol...

True we shall see but the Cowboys is still in better shape than the rest of the teams. I just do not see the Giants or Eagles challanging.

Yeah, the Pukes have the best chance based on their schedule and the way they've been playing, but don't count out Mar-teen to shank away a win or 2.

Then we all have to hear Cowboy fans whine about they lost the game because some one missed a kick or some one dropped a go a head touch down to win the game sound familiar eh ? :D

The Cowboys seem to have wrapped up the division this year, Dallas has a cake schedule to finish the season. I could see us ending up 2nd in the division from how poorly the Eagles without McNabb and the Giants with all their injuries have been.

All we have to beat is the Saints and then I will talk playoffs. I know we can beat every other team but the Saints is going to be tough.

Yup that will be the toughest game left all the other games very winnable wish we could have the Saints up here. I like our chances better at home.

Any teams season can pretty much end with a player injury. You never know who the next is to go down. It ain't over til' the fat lady sings.

Would probably be one of the highest rated ever (or atleast a long time). Especially if based on the seedings it was the NFC championship game and the winner went to the superbowl. DAMN I just woke up from my dream.

"Marcus Washington sacks Romo on the Cowboys' 20, causing a fumble...and Taylor picks it up, running it in for the TD! The Skins are going to the Super Bowl!!"
