View Full Version : Fantasy Football QB Dilemma...who would you start?

Ok here's my problem. In my fantasy football league my starting QB was Donovan McNabb. Obviously he's gone for the season so that leaves me with my other two QBs, Mike Vick and Jake Delhomme. At the beginning of the season I was picking up lots of points with Donny Mac, but recently Mike Vick has been the most productive QB on my roster due to his ability to rush for so many yards in a game. It's like having an extra RB.

Well, a few weeks ago when McNabb went down and the JC news came about, I dropped McNabb and picked up JC just in case. JC's been solid for a new QB, but I'm reluctant to start him just yet. My question is this, the homer seems to be coming out in me and I don't want to start Vick because I'm having a hard time telling myself that he'll produce big-time stats against the 'skins at FedEx. I know that I could always start Delhomme, but he's been dragging lately and he's playing at Philly this week, who still have a good defense....

Should I start Vick, Delhomme, or should I be a complete homer and gamble on starting JC and hope that he has his breakout game?

Also, just for the record CP was my original starting RB, and his injury has hurt me very much as well. :(

Any advice would be appreciated.

No offense, but NOTHING is less interesting than someone else's fantasy football team.

This doesn't belong in the stadium but....

I'm in the same boat.

I have Eli Manning, Mike Vick and Jason Campbell. Eli's struggling, so do you go with the guy who's projected to have more fantasy points (Vick) or go with your favorite team's QB (JC).

I'm starting Jason Campbell. I don't want even the slightest internal conflicts this Sunday when I'm there at FedEx rooting my heart out for this team. And I don't want to hedge this bet.

**** Vick and the Falcons! Go Skins and go Jason Campbell!

You're right...wrong forum. But I'd go with Vick remembering the defense he is going against. ;)

I have Vick as well, and Washington's defense, and Campbell. Oh, well. I'll figure something out.

Well, wrong forum and all...rather than being the 3rd or 4th guy to tell you that......

I say you go with Vick, Carolina has shown nothing and Delhome looks like he's lost. The Eagles have enough pride on defense to keep him from blowing up.

Vick will probably pull something pretty similar to last weekend with a ton of rushing yards....but I think they'll get in the endzone more this week (one decent week has too many people convinced the Redskins d is close to being back)

As far as Campbell, I picked him up in desperation in another league as my backup and that's where he's going to stay until the Washington offense opens it up a little. He made a great real life throw and decision, but the truth is in fantasy terms a late 60 plus yard TD to save your statisical day is not something you can expect/hope for every week.
