They were discussing the Giants-Cowboys game how did we come up then? Until we do win a few more games we do stink. Tony was actually one that said we would win our last 5 games and make the paloffs last year.

Well maybe thats because most of the nation, and believe it or not many of the B&G faithful, believe we do stink. I think we stink (when the ****ty team shows up, not the one we saw on Sunday). So until we string some wins together, and actually produce some quality wins, we do stink.

They were discussing the Giants-Cowboys game how did we come up then?

Wilbon was talking about how much Tony likes the NFC East, and Tony commented on how he would like it to return to greatness.

In the context of the Cowboys and the Giants, we don't stink.

PCRoughrider

Now Wilbon just presupposed that Michael Vick would rush for over 100 yards against the Redskins, the question being whether Vick would rush for 1200 yards for the season.

In the context of the Cowboys and the Giants, we don't stink. In the context of 4-7!!!!!!!We stink....It will take a +.500 finish AND a deep playoff run to deny that. And that's still a few weeks away. So right NOW the skins really stink....Fact

Vick rushed for 166 against the Saints. I'd love to see our game turn out the way that one did...

Well, I guess my friends here have come to the consensus that 4-7 labels you as "stink". I can understand that rational thinking. However, I wouldn't want to be the one who has to apologize at the end of the season when the Redskins get into the playoffs with a wild card birth.

They will then pursue to win each and every playoff game, being the second wild card team to win a Superbowl. Man, this all sounds good doesn't it?

Now, if we just make it happen. What a "Cinderella" story hey guys? I would be so nice to rub all that into the haters faces. I know, wake up, I am. Still a little grogy from the dream.

Why the obsession with what the media says about the Redskins? Who cares what they say. They can say we're the best team in the NFL and it wouldn't impact what happens of Sunday. The opposite is also true.

You're splitting hairs. We are not a good team. Another way to say it is , The Washington Redskins are a losing team this season. Or how about : The Washington Redskins are having a bad season, they STINK this season. Nothing I said was incorrect, we have stunk up the joint early with Brunell and his steller play, now we are trying desperately to salvage a season with a defense that is stinking up the joint (minus last weeks game) Our defense has severely underperformed this season. They have stunk when you compare them to our defenses as recently as the last two years. Its not disrespect by PTI, its called not sugar coating it. :2cents:

Last week-we didn't stink
7 of the 10 games before that-I'd say we stunk

Tony has the majority of the season to support our stinkiness.
But I would LOVE for us to take a shower/put on deoderant with the last half of the season

In my opinion, it depends on which Redskins team shows up. The one we only saw a few times this year that played fairly dominate on both sides of the ball and ran the ball, controlling the tempo of the game and the clock. Or the team that looked like it was holding tryouts for the peewee league that has showed up on several occasions contributing to the 7 games in the loss column.

We stink. Period.

We had a nice game last week. That's great. One nice game amidst a season of stinky games doesn't not indicate lack of stinkage.

When the 1-4 Bucs beat the 4-2 Eagles, their defense finally looked as strong as it had the year before. The team played with fire and passion, and beat a solid team with hard-nosed football. At 2-4, did Tampa suddenly not stink? Hell no. They proceeded to return to their 2006 stinkiness and win 1 of their next 5 games ... against the Redskins.

Every team has one or two nice games a year. Every team has one or two bad ones. Single game performances mean nothing. Streaks matter. We win 3 or 4 in a row then we don't stink. Right now, we do. We just happened to play a good game on Sunday.

No. The context in which the statement was made was a discussion of the Cowboys and Giants. In that context, we don't stink, especially in the case of the Giants.

If it would have been a general discussion, without specific context, they might have had a point.

all we need to to do is go out at take care of bidness on the field five games in row

I wonder this, too. I've never cared what the media says and now in the age of the internet we have message boards where people can complain about what the media says about the Redskins. The only thing that matters is the Falcons. The FALCONS

Man that's the saddest thing I've read on this board in a long time.
When 4 and 7 is ever looked at in a positive light because previous years were worse.

PLEASE skins faithful, don't ever believe 4 and 7 is anything to be proud of
(outside of last week) This year we've STUNK.

2006-07 just wasnt the Redskins year. From the very beginning it looked bad but we definitly have a great platform to work with. Portis-Duckett has me excited for next year and the coming of JC. We did stink this year!!! Most of out FA pickups were a let down but I think Andre Carter and ARE will be solid next year. We need to make ARE our #2 though instead of Lloyd(IMO)!! Im still not sold on Rogers because of one decent game. Sorry to rant

Kornheiser is a joke, he thinks he is so funny and fresh.

I used to like him, but having to hear his announcing on MNF has killed his credibility in my opinion. The guy doesn't even know what he is talking about most of the time...

Nonetheless, the Redskins don't stink, they are playing bad, there is a big difference. I don't think any team in the NFL "stinks", in 3 weeks if the Skins get to .500 Kornheiser will be talking about how great our team is...those ESPN guys are always on the bandwagon...

Nonetheless, the Redskins don't stink, they are playing bad, there is a big difference.

Playing bad happens to every good team ONCE in awhile, but in all honesty this year the team has not come together, and does stink(or has at least 7 of 11 times they played they have). They can turn their season around (and Im quite sure they will) but if you would like to know the definition of a pro football team "stinking" it was the Redskins this year minus a couple of games. The corner coverage was terrible and the outside Blitzing was predictable. Basic tackles were missed and the play calling blew. The teams chemistry has been inconsistent and shotty. Jason Campbell has definitly been a shot in the arm and so has getting back to last years offense. Chris Cooley is a monster of a player, and Sean Taylor is by far the best asset we have on D right now.
In my opinion this team has stunk minus a couple good showings (Last week in particular). I do believe that they have begun to turn this 180 but unfortunatly I think it is too late. I have not given up hope but today will tell me more about where this team stands on the stink chart.

EDIT- Let me say though that we were unlucky with injuries. Not just CP although that was the beginning I believe. You could almost see our team deflate their swagger the moment that happened.

Definately. I mean, after all, according to our record, we suck.

Still though, in a conversation that does not include the Redskins, its obvious that they hate us when they find a way to bring us up.
