Betts, 8.8 yards per rush. Moss looks to be back to his usual self. Someone pinch me :D

Is it any coincidence that as soon as we STOPPED running, the offense is grinding to a halt?

Stop dropping passes.

Realize that we have to put someone on Crumpler in the red zone. (Don't even know why he actually gets as wide open as he does).

Find a Kicker who can actually make a 50 yd fg.

Otherwise, we look good this game.

Why did we stop running anyway? We're winning the damn game. This team drives me crazy.

The team needs to get back to the smashmouth brand of football that gave them the 14-0 lead.

What the hell is up with Cooley?...He's dropping passes as if he's been signed by the Falcons...

We need to keep pounding the ball, is Saunders afraid to run the ball 20 plus times a game?

Warhead36
December-3rd-2006, 01:32 PM
Cooley is sucking and we have to get back to RUNNING THE BALL.

Not sure I get it either. ATL never stopped the run. We did.

I expect someone will mention that in the locker room at the half.

Geez.

*

In fairness though...JC's not getting much help out there. I'd still like to see the sideline ball they said Moss caught OB ... and I'd like to know where Cooley's head is today. Jason's numbers are a lot worse than he deserves today. And if those balls are simply caught, we're not nearly as concerned with the O suddently sputtering.

We get first crack in the 2nd half. ATL will be looking for the run. We're about to find out who wants it more.

Betts looking good as usual. I dont understand some of the people who think he's not worthy of a starting role.

I just wish I had the guts to start him on my fantasy team! ;)

wow,
Rookie or not that was a horrible mistake.

...TD This game resembles so many others we've played this year. We start out busting out of the gates looking hot only to slow up, let the other team hang around and let the other team win, in this case let the other team take the lead. This game is eerily shaping up to be just like our games against Minnesota and Tennessee.

This looks like the Tennessee game all over again:doh:

Why do I have the feeling they're going to call a reverse again and severely piss me off.

SkinsOrlando

Man we looked good and then just ate it. Running plays were getting hurt on are mainly draws and slow pitch outs, gotta start hitting the holes quick again.

No drive killer like a penalty. Dammit!!!

Sanders isn't giving JC much help. Almost every pass call is a full 5 or 7 step drop, and ATL is blitzing almost every time. No quick slants, no screens, no rollouts, nothing to help The Kid get some completions and a little confidence back. Instead he's hesitating, getting people in his face, and telegraphing. Disappointed in the play calling on passes.

Betts racks up almost 150 yards of rushing (possibly more by now) and we STILL only score 14 points?...Ridiculous...

Yup, and somehow people here will say that if Portis were playing we would be winning.

December-3rd-2006, 02:53 PM
We have to figure out how to max protect when teams blitz...perhaps we can take a page from how other teams defense our blitz

I think a turning point was a 50+ FG attempt when your up 14-3 and the other team has done nothing special. I would have punted and made them start at the 20 or less.

That was the first big mistake.

I'd have gone for it on 4th...what the hell, if you don't make it they'll only get the ball around their own 30 yard line. If you DO make it, you can possibly apply your foot squarely against their throat and go up 21-3...and when you're 4-7, hell, just go for it.

man we were just blowing them up on the run. In the middle of all that I was wondering, why arent they mixing in some other RBs to change up the pass and get some fresh legs. I know they tried TJ as few times but it looked like he was not reading the blocks well. Why not some Rock or Sellers.

I cant believe they never give Rock any carriers. He has been a great Skin and has earned some touches because he has done everything this team has asked of him. Same with Sellers.
