Won't happen. Parcells LOVES Romo. He thinks he's the Cowboys QB of the future.
And for all of you that say he sucks... what are you basing that on? Have you ever seen him play? Is it just because he hasn't had his chance in regular season games yet? By that logic, does Jason Campbell suck?
:applause:
Dallas trading Romo for Ramsey would be as big of a shock to me as when Quincy Carter was cut. Since Romo has been with the team the reports were that Parcells and the coaching staff really took a liking to him and it appears that he is set to be QB of the future and has looked excellent in camp from all reports.
Who knows how good Romo will turn out to be, but from everything I've heard and read it indicates that Parcells has no interest in trading Romo at this point.
Rich........
:applause:
I have watched Romo play and like I mentioned before, he's a good backup and nothing more. He just can't make all the throws.

How so? Have you not heard the reports coming out Jets camp about Ramsey sucking? Romo sucks, but Ramsey hasn't shown anything this year either, apparently.

I'm sorry, if you would rather have Tony Romo than Jason Campbell you have an IQ in the teens. This thread should be closed b/c its actually making innocent people dumber.
I can't wait for the season to start, just watch and see. When Bledsoe gets knocked out, you'll be wishing you had anybody but Romo. You can't judge Campbell yet, wait until Pre season and we'll compare. I just hope you don't put any money on Romo being better then Campbell.
Bingo, the bottom line is you are an idiot if you actually believe Romo will be a better player than Campbell. I will admit it is possible but highly unlikely.
Romo sucks.
End of discussion.
The only reason Romo is on that team is b/c he reminds PArcells of someone he grew up with...he is nothing more than a journeyman back up

I hope alot of people this year learned not to pass judgements before they see people on the field. I know I learned a valuable lesson this year and others probably have to. But this is what you can expect from some skins fans that probably still wont give Romo an ounce of credit.

You can't tell me with a straight face that if the other 30 teams in the NFL could choose between Campbell and Romo, that they would take Romo. I'm not saying Campbell will be a star, but at this point he is a much more attractive prospect than Romo.
This is just fun stuff.

']Answering this question would be a guess on anyone's part. Campbell hasn't shown anything yet because he hasn't received a chance yet to play. To assume he is better than anyone without seeing him is homerism at its finest. And I would throw Lorenzen in because he has been very impressive so far. But I wouldn't say he is better than Romo or Campbell. No one knows. I wouldn't pick any of them right now. I mean, if I had to, Romo only because he has more experience.
I would say Tom is pretty smart.
Look, Campbell hasn't proved anything yet but any sports fan with half a brain would say that he is probably a much better player than Romo could ever dream of becoming in the same way as you would say Reggie Bush is a much better player than Wendell Mathis, a UDFA RB who signed with the Vikings. To say otherwise is absolutely idiotic but hey, when has that ever stopped a Cowboy fan before!:dallasuck
HkHog has always been one of my favorites here. Funny I haven't seen him around lately?
finally, while certainly qb is the hardest position to "project," there is no way anyone who is not a cowboys fan projects tony romo to ever be a starting qb. and there is no one who is not a cowboys fan that projects romo to be a better qb than jason campbell. i'm sorry, it is blind homerism to say that romo has an advantage in any way.
Uhhhh huhh.. yeah.. you were saying.....

Honestly? Given about 20 minutes, I bet I could make you look like a complete fool based on past predictions/posts of yours.
Do you REALLY want to play that game? Just say the word... (but to be honest, I'd really rather do other things with my time.)
I don't think I posted anything about Romo or even in the above thread... but I find it very amusing that ANYONE would sit here and call people out like that. I could be wrong... but didn't you at one point refer to Jason Campbell as Quincy Carter? One of the regular Cowboy fans did right around the time we drafted him... it thought it was you but I could be mistaken.

O.K. I think I get it..... The Skins will dominate and sweep the Boys "this year."...... "This time" you'll have it together and be ready for us. Furthermore, the Boys will suck this year and the Redskins (who've improved significantly in all three phases) will be great under Gibbs second year!? The Redskins are improving while the Boys are on the downfall!?
Just for the record:
The 'Skins swept the Boys
The Boys missed the playoffs
The Skins got it together under Gibbs' second year.
etc. etc.

When the smoke clears and the Cowboys come back to earth (not that I'm saying they won't finish this season well- I think they can go all the way), he'll either be gone or be pounced on heavily around here.
To the rest of you, you deserve to be where you are right now as far as ATN status goes and you get my best wishes. You all endured a lot of hassle just to be members no matter how the 'Boys were doing and I am (begrudgingly) glad for you right now.

I will concede this, I wasn't sure what Romo would bring to the table. I was guessing he could be a solid starter at best. I was a bit worried about his arm strength, but even more concerned about his ability to find passing lanes. Those seemed to be the two issues he had when I saw him play in preseason games.
Glad I was proven wrong.
Ramsey is what he is, he can't play because he crumbles from blitz pressure.

Well, I guess it's settled then. After 6 games for Romo and 3 for Campbell, Romo is definitely going to have a better career. Gibbs should sing you "Super Smart" cownuts to the practice squad. The D could use a couple of good tackling dummies.

Yo, 16 year old dude with the incredibly unoriginal screen name, I asked you this in an earlier thread and never got a response. Since the topic of you being an idiot troll came up, I'll ask again:
How do you become a Dall@$$ fan living in Syracuse, NY? You're 16, so that means you probably started watching football in about '95 or '96. Those happen to be years the cowsluts were winning super bowls. My guess is you jumped on the bandwagon then. You certainly don't seem like the type of person who could have rooted for the Bills, since you knew they would lose the SB every year. Heck, you could have been a Bills fan before they lost to Dallas and then decided to jump on the wagon.

I'm not seeing a lot of respect from you guy. THEHEREAFTER, well, he took his lumps here over the years and if he wants a moment to enjoy, that is at least somewhat understandable (though I would have thought gloating beneath him. Live and learn I guess.)

Thats fair. I understand and apologize. I guess it does kinda look that way considering that i am a new member. I was not the biggest fan of signing up at rival forums, it took alot for me to even do, because for one i know how irritating it was a year ago when the Dallas boards i belong to were Flooded with Skins fan. A lot of them were ES members and some were hailskins members, but i followed this board enough to see that it was a good board with alot of cool people going back n forth without the namecalling and trashing.
Thehereafer is a good dallas member and yes he has more of a right to gloat then i do. I was not here for the lumps that he took. Your right.
Hey, the Cowboys were good last year too, just one game out of the playoffs, so its not like they "finally got good"...they have been good now for two years, just better this year then last, its called improvement. They made the right calls in the offseason and its showing.
ok, so how can i show this forum some respect? I made some post recently giving major props to Clinton Portis, and to Coach Gibbs. and i have gone on record (even though there is no internet proof) that i worshiped Quincy Carter and made him out to be the next great Dallas QB, i thought M.Wiley woulld be a 15 sack machine for years to come and thought Joey Galloway was going to be a 100 rec. 1500 yard 15 TD machine for Dallas....we all make claims like that, its called being a homer fan. i was more or less just poking fun, not being mean spirited. Mean spirited belongs to TR1 and Bubba...those two know how to push the buttons of Dallas fans....

Yes, I'm very proud of Romo after watching mediocore to horrible QB play since Aikman. He hasn't "arrived" yet but he's playing damn well and his future looks bright. I've said time and time again that Dallas hasn't done anything just yet. There's still alot of football to be played.

You can go back and look up any of many tr1 classics regarding Romo when he replaced Bledsoe. WeOwnYou, myself and other Boys fans on this site were very excited about Romo taking over. I stated several times that this was not only a good move for the future, he also gave us the best chance to win now. I admittedly never thought he would be leading the league in passer rating, look this polished, seasoned, clutch and would have led us to a 5-1 record.
