Yea very big here, sells like 30-60k tickets for every show. I don't really like the music that much but I have to admit he's a very good entertainer live.

Some of his stuff is okay. He's sort of all over the map.
He reminds me a bit of early George Michael in that he's really poppy, but also wants to be a serious "crooner."

Ahh, kinda' like The Darkness. They tried to make it here in the US and didn't quite do as well, then played it off like we just didn't understand them, bla, bla, bla.
They suck and need to stop making excuses for it.

His first solo album was pretty big in the US, around 1999 I believe. The only song off of it that I can remember is "Angels," although I know there was one or two others that were on the charts for a little while.
If you heard "Angels" for about 10 second, you would remember it, because it was on everywhere for a little while. I actually heard it in a store a few days ago.

 OMG in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. What the hell was that video about. I'm still freakin' spinning.
No wonder he can't make it in America. He can't sing, he can't dance, and he looks like a d-bag.....oh wait. Nevermind, he could make it in America.

I don't like him, but out of all the talent-less boy banders, he probably has the most talent (which isn't saying much). He's huge in Europe (which also isn't saying much). David Hasselhof is huge in Germany (which is saying a lot).

He's currently touring Australia, and would you believe that he got fined $500 for smoking on stage.

Not my thing, but I can understand why he's popular. His music reminds me a little of Elton John. Here's one of his bigger hits Angels.

You haven't really made it until you have made it in America. Everyone knows that.

Not strictly true...there are more Europeans than Americans. So you can still sell a lot more and make more money by being popular only in Europe. That's why I think a lot of them don't bother.
Example: Coldplay were big for years before you even heard about them in the US. So were the Beatles. :applause:

Don't the Europeans also worship Hair Hasslehoff? I think I can sleep well not having listened to Robby Benson or whatever his name is..

Yeah...I already stated though that we have a lot of rubbish in Europe too. But the good stuff, like Coldplay, sometimes don't bother to even attempt the US market because they make enough in Europe. Of course, that counts only for British performers because nobody would listen to a French song however catchy the tune ("Joe Le Taxi" apart).
So you may or may not have heard of: Snow Patrol, Keane, Killers, Placebo, James Blunt etc etc. Not all of them my taste but at least they have some talent.
Whereas some of your performers I would prefer you keep...like Britney Spear and Justin Limbertake. :applause:

Seriously dude, don't insult the guy like that. He's not as gay as Justin T. He's been around for quite a while; while stationed in German in 96 he was huge. Unlike most american acts this guy is more pop rock and considered a "bad boy". Honestly I don't know of an act in the states that you can even compare him to. He's like the Tommy Lee of pop/rock in Europe but people actually listen to him. :2cents:

Not the Europeans as much as it is the Germans. He sings in German so they swing from his tip.
