You know, the 'Boys are lucky the refs didn't see thin in game. He would have been ejected and this could have easily ended up costing them the game (depending on when this took place, I think D-Hall said it was sometime in the first quarter).
And yeah, he SeanTaylored him...

This guy is a total headcase, he can't even take responsibility for his own actions.
Don't worry 'Boys fans though, he won't be ejected. Hell just get a fine, a slap on the wrist, and a SportsCenter special sometime this week.

I wonder if Jerry Jones could care less about him being able to bend his finger because he plans on letting him go at season's end? I mean the Cowboys have just clinched a playoff berth, they're in the drivers seat for the division crown and every media outlet in the country will be talking about T.O. instead of the Cowboys.

C'mon... if you didnt see the "spit heard round the world" then you need to take your B&G blinders off immediately. I love the Skins more than anything, but what he did last year was messed up and he should have owned up to it.

According to Sean Taylor, spit did come out of his mouth, but only as he was yelling at Pittman.
IOW, it was spittle. Some folks, saliva will "spittle" out of their mouths as the are being emotional and yelling.
He didn't hock back and intentionally spit at Pittman.
At least that is Taylor's story and he is sticking to it. :D
As far as Owens goes, well, I don't think it will be enough for him to simply say he did it, b/c he also basically said he was justified in doing it.
Which could be interpreted to mean that if something else happens on the field Owens doesn't like, he'll spit again.
The NFL can't let that stand.
Owens is gonna have to say he was wrong to do it and won't do it again, or else the NFL may make an example of him.

Another thing that needs to brought into this is, when Sean Taylor did it, he was young and stll going through his learning process. T.O. has been in the league over a decade, he should know what he shouldn't be doing. So if the NFL suspended Sean Taylor (someone who is still going through the learning process), then they should most definetly suspend a player who's been in the league 11 years....whether T.O. manned up or not, he should get suspended too..POINT BLANK.

Well as much as EVERYONE hates the guy, well besides T.O himself, they can't say he is not one of the best receivers in the league, which makes people hate him more. Cut him because he is a team cancer if he is not happy not because he can't play anymore, which is what always happens.

Okay, so don't suspend TO (since ST wasn't suspended). Fine him and then eject him from the game next week at the same time he spit on DH this past game (which would be comparable, although somewhat bizarre).
I swear they need some officials that are not looking at the ball, but away from it to keep these immature punks from ruining a fine bit of entertainment, that we call Football.

Hall calls for suspension of T.O.
Jay Glazer / FOXSports.com
Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall got spit in his face last night by Cowboys Pro Bowl WR Terrell Owens but did not take matters into his own hands at the time. But now he wants the league to step up with an unprecedented punishment for such an offense.
In an interview with FOX NFL Sunday and FOXSports.com Sunday morning Hall asked for the league to suspend the controversial wide receiver.
"I think they should suspend him," said Hall. "It's ridiculous. At first I couldn't believe it happened and people who know me know how I'd want to haul off on him but I kept my composure about it and didn't retaliate. But the league should hit him by suspending him."
Hall says that the incident occurred after the two ran downfield on a deep pattern on the third down prior to the first punt of the game.
"I was talking to him like I always do and said, 'All night long, it's going to be like this all night.' Then he spit right in my face. I really couldn't believe it. I ran over to the refs and told them he spit in my face but they didn't see it.
"That's an unwritten rule in this league. You don't do that. There's other stuff that goes on and you can talk all you want but that's crossing the line."
Hall's review of the events actually takes an odder turn after the game.
"He said he apologized to me. He never apologized. The only thing he said to me after the game was that he heard I got beat up in a club. What is wrong with this guy? Man, I don't even hang out in clubs. But that's what this guy says to me after spitting in my face? Something is wrong with the guy and the league should do something about it."
Hall is an emotional player and should be given credit for not immediately retaliating.
"He's done too much, he's accomplished too much as a player to do something like this," said Hall. "He's been a great player in this league."
The league office is going to review the coaches' film of the incident and due to the fact that Owens admitted the incident on camera they may only look for something that resembles a spit in order to levy a punishment.
The last punishment for a spit was $17,000 or one playoff check from Washington's Sean Taylor. Bill Romanowski got $7,500 for spitting in the face of 49ers WR J.J. Stokes years ago.

So TO spits because of a little trash talk? I don't understand that at all. I mean Cornerbacks talk trash all day long. TO has been in the league a long time. You would think he'd just tune it out. Seems like maybe some part of this picture is missing. There has to be more to it than "all night long". Not that it would excuse Owens in any way, but I just don't believe TO could be provoked that easily.

I agree with you on that. I just didn't want to say that and be dubbed a homer. :D
But yeah, I think in his career he has heard worse things than "All night long."

They should suspend him for the Cowboys 1 playoff game.

My son, at 8 freaking years old, knows that if he spits on someone in a soccer match - he's red carded, or if it's not seen by the ref, will be benched for the rest of the game (and next) by the coach. There's no freaking "learning process" on spitting - it's a lack of respect, discipline and is much worse than a late hit or taking a swing at someone in the heat of the moment. It should NOT matter whether it is someone's first game, or 200th game. The penalty, for a first time offense, should be the same! How can you defend someone because they were "only in their second year of PROFESSIONAL football"???
My feeling on punishment is that the precedence was set last year - ST was ejected and missed most of the game, along with a hefty fine. The NFL should suspend TO, as well as fine him. HOWEVER, we will see the business side of the NFL overcome their desire to have a clean-disciplined game. NO WAY they suspend him when there is a Christmas day, prime time, divisional game (for the division lead) being played. He means too much to ratings for them to suspend them. They will therefore only fine him, speak meanly about him all the while giving in to the almighty dollar.

TO is the man. He opted not to have surgery which would have ended his season...He will NEVER be able to bend his finger again.
He made a mistake tonight...a classless act
Please, are all cowboy fans this gullible.
TO starts getting hammered by the media and the fans for all his dropped balls, and now alll of a sudden he has a finger condition ?
Rofl, Owens is playing the cowboy faithful for a bunch of fools.
I just read the cowboys boards and they think he is a saint for this. They just cant seem to grasp that the finger story is bogus.
Hint- He got it made up so he could deflect the dropped passes criticism. Do you expect anything less from MR Ego

I don't think he will get a suspension I'm not even sure he'll get that hefty of a fine. There is no video of what happened so no one can "prove" he did it. Though I think his confession is damning enough. He really is an idiot.
