Well, this is the guy who thinks Betts is better than Portis and said Betts would have over 2000 yards if he started the whole year. I wouldn't take any of his opinions on player talent very seriously  .

let the Skins get back to the playoffs and people will be like Wizards who?.. believe me i love the Wiz and G.A. but D.C. is Redskins town all day 24-7. But that shot was definately ill.. i can't front

Stadium? Come on...
Portis, when healthy, is easily a top five back in the NFL.
The Redskins are the heartbeat of DC, the Wiz are an afterthought to most fans.

REDSKINS JUST WON A PLAYOFF GAME.
Everything was probably great with the methods then, right?

My cousin Vinny did those moves.
I think one man is making all redskins fans depressed.

The Wizards are VERY popular in this town. Gilbert Is becoming a D.C icon. I think D.C will soon become one of the top NBA cities around.

This thread was already done resently. Do a search. Im sure all the points made in that thread still apply.

You still see more Redskins gear around on people than Wizards gear. I think authentic's post is correct. All ages sport Redskins gear, I saw at least two jackets yesterday while in a bookstore, one an older lady, and one a young person.
I like cheering for the home teams in general, and I'm not gonna disagree with the Wizards being better run. As authentic said though, the Redskins make the playoffs, more people erupt in happiness.

That man is Joe Gibbs since he has final say over everything, and this past year lost control of the team.
The guy who said the skins made the playoffs last year, correct but every other year we have been lucky to get 8 wins, so which is the real team??
Portis is not even a top 5 back in the league anymore, not with his injuries, and hate to say it Betts looked better then him every the last 6 games with this offense, it was natural and easy for him.

I would love to celebrate Ovechkin but I just don't know enough about hockey to be able to see the greatness of him. Unfortunately I think most people are like me as well. I would love to have another absolute star in this town and I wish him all the luck but it is what it is.

Ovechkin was at the game last night, showed up on the "kiss cam" with his Russian model girlfriend mid ice-cream cone lick.

There are enough fans to go around...I'm sure all our teams have fans all over the country just like every other team. I see all kinds of different team gear everywhere I go.

RIGHT NOW....Gil is definitly in the top 3.
Looking at production and wins/losses along with who he has done his damage against...u have to put him in the top 3 and THE TOP canidate for MVP.
Now in the next month it could all change..and perhaps at the beginning of the year he wasnt in the Top 3 but now he is.
I wouldnt take Kobe over Gilbert...not at this moment I wouldnt. I wouldnt take Nash.....either.
I would think LeBron and Dirk could be argued for. Hopefully Dirk isnt injured much longer.
Considering health and consistency issues...I would put Gil in with LeBron and Dirk. Carmelo is right there along with M.Redd ...but Melo is suspended for another handful of games.....I mean for what they are doing for their teams right now its basically Kobe, Dirk, Gil and LeBron on the top tier at this given moment.

No. DC is a football town. Yeah, it's known for its high school b ball teams and they play street ball, but DC is a football city plain and simple. It matters more, it's more popular, it'll always be that way.
I can see where you're coming from though. You make a good argument.

YOU need to think straight and realize that DC is ALWAYS AND WILL ALWAYS be a Redskins city not Wizards. It wouldn't matter if the Redskin went 2-14, more people would watch their games. It's so simple and I can't believe you even thought otherwise......When they went on that 5-0 run last season that's all ANYONE talked about. No disrespect to Wiz but Redskins have, are and will be DC's team.
Moss and Portis are as popular as Gilbert Arenas.
Remember we have 3 rings and that beats 1 NBA title.

Now since the Skins fell off this year, Arenas is putting the joy back in DC. You can't argue with that? Plus, the Wizards are going to make the playoffs, for the 3rd year in a row. As much as Im a die hard Skins fan, they cant do what the Wiz can do, they don't have a game changer like Arenas.

....They are still the heart of DC and always will be. It's not even remotely close. They have game changers, Portis and Moss....mostly Moss...just ask Dallas :D
Look man, I know the Wiz are our best team now but look, I mean we finished 5-11 and now the entire city is wondering about our offseason. The focus will always be on the Redskins, good or bad as they may be.

I'm I the only one that dosent think Wade is as good as hes made out to be. Hes a hell of a player dont get me wrong, but I dont think hes in the league of Kobe, Nash etc... at least not yet.
IMO Arenas is in the top five and far better than Wade, Only thing Wade does better is in the assists department where he averages a little over 1 more per game.
Untill the redskins win this region back with something to cheer about, it will be Arenas's.

Dude, Wade is up there. He's a great rebounding guard and he finishes more then any guard in the league except maybe Bryant.

no, DC is a Redskins town... its not a football town... you want a football town? go into the some of these cities in Michigan, Western PA, or in the South... those are football towns... this is a basketball town, that has a love affair with the Redskins... their is much more BBall history in this town (in terms of HS and College) than their ever will be for football... goto any court right now, and I guarantee you a game is taking place on the courts, and you will be hard pressed to find a football game... This will always be a BBall town... its just that this is a Redskins town... not football
