He's sitting in for Wilbon on PTI this week and they were doing "Over-Under". The question was over-under for 2nd place in the MVP voting for Gilbert. Both Kornheiser and LeBetard said under.
Tony said that he'd like to say over but that would mean that he'd win MVP then he mentions Kobe, Nowitski and Nash deserve it more, (which is false, by the way)
But according to LeBetard, the Wizards are "a team that's not very good, even with him on it".
Oh, and by the way, in another over-under, he picked the Heat to win 50 or more games.
PRICK!!! :redpunch:

Yeah I saw that. What a fat ****. At least Tony called him out on his bull****. Said something like "what? They've won like 14 out of 17." Le Batard just made himself look like a complete idiot.

Oh for god sake, do we do this every time someone says they don't think Arenas is the best player in the NBA (which he isn't) He voiced his opinion. That's it.....Kornheiser then proceeded to shut him down. Dude, deal with it!!!

What do you expect? He's a Heat fan and a hater to go with it. Go figure.

The "F' you" wasn't for what he saide about Gilbert (btw, he is the most complete offensive player in the league). The F' you was for what he said about the entire Wizards team, which is provably untrue, particularly in light of what he said about the Heat.

Oh, well then I agree (I was speechless when I saw it too). But that's hard to say it's not kobe because he has great range also.

The same guy who yesterday predicted there would be a lot of news in miami so he left the paper to go on the show while saban and riley were leaving their teams. And does he seriously think a team that are starting to complain about coaching and can not keep players healthy can go 37-14 the rest of the year?

Gil 30.3 Pts 4.5 Reb 6.4 Ast
Kobe 28.7 Pts 5.1 Reb 5.2 Ast
Nash 20.0 Pts 3.2 Reb 11.3 Ast
Dirk 23.4 Pts 9.5 Reb 3.1 Ast
Gil beats all 3 players in 2 of the 3 categories
He also plays with a guy who averages 20 8 4 (Caron) and a guy who averages 19 8 2 (Antawn)

It's not all about stats. The Mavericks and Suns are the 2 best teams in the NBA and if not for their two stars, they'd be...well, lower....they deserve as much credit as Arenas. Don't be a homer. Accept it.

And the Wizards are 2-1 against those two teams. Right, it's not about the stats.

Hey man, I didn't say Arenas shouldn't be MVP, I'm just saying it like it is. So we are 2-1, they are like 23-8 and 25-7.

Accept it. Right. The MVP race right now is a two man show between Nash and Arenas with Nowitski alone in third.
Don't underestimate what Arenas is doing. It's not just the stats, it's 14 of 18 wins, it's clutch 4th quarter and OT scoring, it's making everyone around him better.
Nash is playing better than either of his two MVP seasons but Arenas is RIGHT THERE with him. I don't believe that's a homer assessment.

Theres a reason we call him Le RETARD. All he does is make an ass out of himself everytime he sits in for Tony or Wilbon.

These so called "expert-sports reporters"...are no more than us.
Opinionated sports fans with at times homerific views.
Difference is they get paid to do what they do so "we" take their opinions more to heart/seriously.
F'them all!!!

agree he is amazing, he might do something that even Jordan couldn't, win 3 straight MVP's
I love Areans but untill we can consistently win on the road he will not win mvp

LeRetard is just that.
Dee Brown on NBA Fastbreak is worse-- yesterday, when talking about the Wiz, he said the Wizards can succeed in the East but "can't beat the high-powered teams out West like Phoenix."
Hello?!?! Dallas & Phoenix have 3 Eastern Conference losses between them, and the Wiz have accounted for TWO!

For the record, I think Nash is the MVP thus far, and I don't see him losing that distinction.

So they're the best 2 teams in the NBA and both lost to the Wizards...
This award is for the best player not the best team.
I'm not a homer at all, if I felt Nash or Dirk was playing better I would say so.
Don't be stupid Gil is playing the best ball of the four players I mentioned and you know it.
This is Dooling of Orlando after the loss......
"They got a little bird down there by the name of Gilbert who's just bad," Dooling said. "He's one of those guys who's special. He'll go down in history as one of the greatest and he showed his greatness in the second half -- he just turned it on. It's almost impossible to guard him."
Something the Suns(54 pts) Mavs (29, 38) and Lakers( 60!! pts) all know about.
From Fox Sports.....Arenas is averaging 36 points in his last nine games.
The Wizards are 15-1 when he scores 30 or more.

Let's get one thing clear. MJ got screwed over in his MVP titles. He deserved 8 not 5. He should've easily won 3 in a row but the NBA didn't want to have the same guy over and over and over so they screwed him and picked Drexler.

To quote a recent ad campaign...It's About Five! The Wiz have that "look" and Arenas is, to his infinite credit, only a cog in this machine.
Butler - a monster, a complete player and teammate, still improving, hits the glass
Jamison - a leader, best touch and versatility since Bernard King, has tailored his game to Gil, really hits the glass
Stevenson - ultra-consistent, murderous in transition, straight dominates lesser 2/3's...ask Mobley, Iguodala, Francis, etc., hits the glass
Heywood - peaking, very intelligent, passionate for his craft, rarely outhustled, quite nearly legit, blocks out
Depth may or may not reveal itself and take us over the mountain. Coach may or may not learn the crucial subtleties of playoff/7 game strategy. But, all hail Grunfeld, our starting five is plain nasty, hungry, and can run any team out of the gym. If we stay relatively healthy, there is no reason why this team can't challenge for the title. Let's enjoy the ride!
Also, LeBatard has no idea what he's talking about.

Nash has never deserved MVP, in my eyes. Why? He plays next to no defense. Which is why every guard they go aganist does well over their average performance.
The league MVP should be a complete player, not just dominate on offense.
