Wizards vs clippers game thread

Gametime is at 7..This will be tough, the clippers are not as good as last season, but still have Elton Brand..Go Wizards!!

Yeah, it's going to be a tough game. Stats wise, playing at home appears to be in our favor in this matchup (we're 12-3 at home, while the Clips are only 3-11 on the road). Also, Sam Cassell is questionable and Cutino Mobley appears to be out for tonight's game. Our guards will need to try to help out more in the rebounding department tonight going up against Brand and Kaman. Maggette could be a problem for us on the offensive end. I would imagine Caron or DeShawn will be guarding him. I guess Gil or DeShawn wll probably switch guarding the tall Shaun Livingston. Hopefully our momentum from Wednesday's thrilling victory will carry over tonight.

what a joke. Our defense sickens me to no avail. We just watch the same guys hit 3s against us over and over and still don't guard them. No matter how much offense you got, you still are going to have to rebound and play a little D to be successful.

Has Brand scored with Blatche in. We made this whole defensive turnaround and tied it us with AJ on the bench.

Some teams are just a poor match up for him. Those are teams with great PFs.

AJ should come in when Brand comes out. They we can use his offense.

Just got back from the game. I think I and this person sitting behind me in 119 started the 1st chant (right before halftime). It was awesome. 29 in the 1st half. We were all talking about over/under 50 for him, but 35 and a W will do. He, Caron and Antawn all had nice games. DeShawn played great on D. Daniels was a great spark off the bench. Booth played decent while Haywood was out in foul trouble.

Great game. 6 games over .500. Let's keep this thing going!!! :cheers:

Thats for sure. This team has been playing great basketball as of late. Would love to see them keep this up since it looks like we can really establish ourselves as an elite team in the East.

Got a road game at Toronto on Sunday. This team cannot let down just because it is playing a weaker opponent, similar to what Wiz teams have done in the recent past. Toronto is below .500 but is pretty solid at home, and they are a young team that will for sure be gunning for us. They could definetely catch us sleeping with all of the Wiz players partied out tomorrow. Hopefully it just doesn't carry over to Sunday. :D

Keep it up Wiz! And Gilbert is doing a great job of keeping guys involved despite all the exposure he has been getting in the past couple weeks. Scoring 35 pts while still having 12 assists is a great line to have. :applause:

i was at the game, pretty fun game to watch. Arenas dominant in the first half, we didn't use him much in the second half. Caron Butler is amazing, i can't remember him missing a shot at all, god hes been hot lately. Good to see Santana and CP at the game. Blatche didn't get much PT tonight, too bad i was looking forward to seeing him play in person. This fat black lady behind us was yelling all night about how they should stop letting number 24 shoot. Turns out i think she's right, Hayes has not played well this season, which is very dissapointing. I think its time to make some kind of change there. Also their seemed to be a ton of bad calls in this game, did anyone else see that on tv??

That's all part of the maturation process of a young team. Always being up for EVERY team! It's nice to rip off wins from the Phoenixes and Lakers of the world. But, you have to bring it every night, no matter what the other team's record is.
