This is a problem now isn't it. I just don't get it. Its almost like he has hip problems. Watch him.. He moves his upper body in the direction he wants to move before he moves his hips or feet. I would hate to find out that this could be fixed if some just showed him what he is doing wrong.

Well it helps in total flow and success and energy for one thing.
Secondly, helps with rebounds, etc.

But to specially answer the question you asked, it helps with rotation on the perimeter. When the other team starts rotating the ball around the horn, many times, almost always, you will see AJ being very late to cover the 3 shooter. Blatche is much quicker and longer so he can cover that rotation on the 3 much better.

I can understand how that may not make obvious sense, but if you watch what Im describing, you will see it.

I can already see the difference with Blatche in the game.

very ugly first half...i would love for us to get more rebounds. It seems the team starts running half way up the court the minute the raptors take a shot. Stay under the basket and grab some rebounds. We also need to keep to the zone defensive pattern. When we get one on one people are left wide open on the 3 pt perimeter. I hope as ugly as the first half was the second half will be the opposite.

We have some good D players. I think they are.
Caron, AD, DS.

Then we have decent D players.
Haywood, Etan, Gil, Blatche, Ruffin, Booth

Then we have poor D players.

If you have a starter who is terrible at D, that's going to effect the whole team as they iso him or rotate the ball.

Was it the shots he took? I don't mind him missing that if its a shot he can make. Once that shot goes down, its going to open the middle more. Sure I want to see him in the post.. I just don't get it. Let the kid play more minutes. He is part of our future and should push AJ out of the starting rotation. He need PT to learn and get in a rhythm.

We are a much better D team with him playing.

Those are line ups that can play D and score. Just ride Gil and Caron primarily and work it from there.

Again, AJ has to play back on the perimeter so there is a wide open passing lane to the point, shot, made. You cant expect Haywood to cover that from the center possition. I better defender to the horn would have pressured that rotation pass to changed the play.

Why doesn't EJ put in Blatche? The only way AJ is a benefit on the court is when he is hitting the 3 and doing some made scoring.

This is where a coach has to change the energy by using other players.

Sure he has some pts but the +/- and his total effect on the game is totally against him.

Most his rebounds are on long shots when the other team in run back to cover on D and he doesn't score near enough to make up for what is score as a result of him being on the court. At least not today.

This game scared me from the beginning. With Gilbert's party to riding high after some big wins, and getting a lot of media attention I was worried the Wiz would play poorly against a lackluster opponent.

Well, a tough loss but that's the problem. We can't stop teams with dominant post up players. 24 and 15 for Bosh.

Bosh can't carry Elton Brand's jock, and it wasn't a problem in the slightest. Etan Thomas and a couple of nights off..and the Wiz beat the Raptors by 25.

It was a tough loss for the fact that the raps are very hateable with all of those Euros and that tool Calderon (who Gil was straight abusing in the fourth), but not a bad effort to cut a 22 pt fourth quarter lead to 5. Good to see Jarvis find his shot (12 pts, a season high), but where was AD? I think coach is clipping his minutes because AD has been forcing up some ugly shots instead of finding his teammates again. Yes the defense was quite very much pretty close to terrible, especially from Jamison, who is a nightly nightmare, but Bosh was hitting some circus shots, kid is legit (check the grammar on that sentence). Reminds me of last year's toronto game where Jamison hit like four threes in the fourth to cut a fifteen point lead to one or something...

If Ruffin or Etan played, these queeruros wouldn't be playing so big, trust.

All in all maybe this loss is/was a wakeup call. It showed that we can lose to a team that really is unproven and aside from Bosh they arent very experienced at all.

The Raptors did bring their "A" game and more importanly their "A" EFFOR which maybe the Wizards didnt.

Hopefully this humbles the Wiz and they can come out against a Very Good Bulls team and get a Win. Its gonna be a challenge.

It wasnt the night before, it was Friday night. Saturday night would be the night before.

And if this was a bad idea before the team traveled and played an afternoon game, then EJ should have told Gil to do it another time when we were playing at home. I blame that on the coach also.
