I sat and sulked and was frustrated and cursed and........wasnt happy with last nights loss vs. our Wizards.

I will tip my hat the Suns ARE clearly better than us and most likely the BEST team in the NBA.

But....considering the Suns shot over 60% (aka lights out)...and got every loose ball (it seemed atleast) & A LOT of questionable fouls called FOR them I dont think last night was as bad as people are making it out to be. Everything went there way and not much went our way. It Happens...and last night it did.

When Barbosa's 3 hit the rim and bounced about 9 feet high and then went right thru the hoop i knew it wasnt our night...PERIOD.

Point is, we shouldnt be that concerned with that L. It wasnt a bad L considering what I mentioned above & the fact it wasnt a division loss, nor a conference loss. Add in the fact that we have beaten them already this year....i will take a split with them (as well as Dallas respectively).

The media/espn etc..may be beating us up or whatever but u know what...thats a GOOD thing.

They expect us to be better and they know what we are capable of...thats respect - Something this team hasnt had in quite awhile.

IMHO I think last nights loss will help us out and motivate us in the upcoming games and hopefully long term. Last night should cause the guys to turn things up a notch.

LETS GO WIZARDS!!!!!

Win or lose....GO ALL IN!!!!

(small footnote) --- Our defense is still awful....please EJ do something. Its sickening to watch guys take WIDE OPEN SHOTS at will.

Nice Post. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I told myself in the 2nd quarter that this loss could help us down the road. It's the only positive you can really take out of last nights game. I wasn't expecting us to win, it would have been nice...

I want the Media to keep poking fun at us. You saw how they started SC last night "People thought they were Phoenix of the East..." It's just more ammo for Gil.

(and I'm not saying we're phoenix of the east!)

Agree with everything except the Mavs are the best team in the NBA, not the Suns.

Yeah...the media is tearing us a new one. I heard someone say that our chances to be the eastern conference champs is sci-fi. Really pissed me off that they did a segment to write us off. I hope this motivates our team.

I think Dallas would have a tough him beating the the Suns in a seven game series

they did it last year and they will do it again.. the mavs can run with anyone and they play defense like no other now. i think there top 5 in scoring defense now and their interior defense has been improved with nowtiski focusing more much about his defense game and diop and dampier controlling the paint

Josh Howard is a stone cold STUD.

Jason Terry may be the most underrated guard in the league.

The only thing is this year Stoudamire will have something to do with the series...he didnt play in last years Mavs/Suns series.

This loss wasn't too bad, the two games against the Pistons will be huge. We're 1-1 against the Suns on the season. Not many other teams can say that.

agreed. But you have to wonder about the effect Amare will have if they play each other in the playoffs, b/c he didn't play vs. them last year.

Still I think the Mavs are a very sound team and could beat anyone. They already have beaten the Suns twice this year already.

whats concerning is the wiz inability to stop the pick and roll and give up way too many open shots.. that is going to be their demise in the playoffs

I agree that this was not a bad loss and I'm glad the media is torching us. The players need to see the need for DEFENSE. We found out last night that we are NOT the Phoenix Suns. The Suns don't have to play defense because every player they have is a dangerous scorer. We have 3 scorers. We have to play defense.

Yep, agreed. 1-1 vs. the Suns is a whole lot better than 0-2 against them. I'm glad the Wizards aren't in the same division as the Suns and have to face them 4 times a year. Twice is enough.

What was Daniel Snyder doing in his office for 3 hours??? Playing video games or something?

Well I dont feel bad about it, I mean we are the only team in the Eastern Conference that beat Phoenix. They are currently 17-1 against Eastern Conference Teams

22pt differential....Hmmmmmmmmmm......Looks like a bad loss to me....and very demoralizing
From sportsline.com: "They're better than us in every aspect of the game," Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said before the game, a statement that few who saw the beating would doubt. "They are a championship-caliber team. They are the type of team that we are trying to become."

I guess we still need a big man.
