I don't know if I just have a fuzzy memory, but did Gilbert Arenas turn into more of a "shooter" this year? I seem to remember in past seasons that he was very aggressive in driving toward the basket. This year, it seems more like he's comfortable taking the jumper.
Nothing wrong with it, after all he is having yet another career season.
Just wondering if my perception is wrong or not.

wondered the same thing. He seemed to work extremely hard on his shooting and probably felt that if he could shoot and drive that he would be that much harder to stop.

I think I agree with you. His jumpshot and 3pt attempts have to be way up from last year.

He was up there last season. What makes him the great offensive player that he is, is his ability to shoot and drive. His defender can't give him too much space because of his jumpshot, but right when the guy moves up and guards him face to face, Gil will drive on him. Hence why noone in this league can guard him one on one, and why now nearly every team we play has to double team him.

I'm not sure why he's not getting much hype as one of the better shooters in the league.

He was 2nd in the 3pt contest last year, and should have won but the judges let Dirk hit 3 pointers after the buzzer. I dunno, but winning that contest will do a lot to help.
His shot selection will always hinder his ability to be looked at as Ray Allen, look at how long it took Kobe to be considered a "great" shooter.

I think he's either #1 or 2 in leading the league in 3 pointers made
Talk about mixing it up!
