It was another game I think, but the best sign of the night was "Sportscenter is Next!....Unless Duke needs more time"

I sort of feel bad for their players after college. Seems like only a few, and mostly the ones that leave early really do well on the next level. Has a college career of getting bad calls in your favor, then going to a league where they don't care about you because you're not one of their elite stars, just ruin their game?

Like a month+ ago, I was at the Washington/Orlando game. J.J. Redick wasn't even suited up. We were sitting towards the Orlando bench. The guy wasn't even watching the game. Just stared at his feet, maybe glanced up every few min. But, during timeouts, he just wandered outside of the huddle. It was kind of sad. Lottery pick, to playing in maybe 10-15 games in spot duty. Shooting under 40%. What a mess of a pick.

You bet Duke will be ranked in the top 20, as they should. As for UVA who knows. But just for kicks, lets examine UVA's body of work. In non-conference play, their one decent win was against Arizona. Aside from that, they were destroyed by Utah, and APPALACHIAN STATE. Their other out of conference wins were Morgan St., UNC Asheville, MD Eastern Shore, and Hampton. They also barely beat some team called Puerto Rico Mayaguez right before Christmas.

This is their 3rd or 4th loss already, I don't know how many in the ACC. I wonder if they'll be better than ranked 8th in the country after this. ;)

I liked the way Singletary stepped up big when he had to in the clutch. He shot horribly most of the game and duke did a good job shutting him down, but he made clutch shots to tie the game up to go to OT and split the defense like dewayne wade with the fadeaway shot to pull ahead by 2 with 1 second left. I didn't expect Duke to have any kind of shot with 1 second left but McRoberts threw a bomb to Paulus and I thought he was going to sink that three to win it. What a game. :applause: GO HOOS

The ACC stopped using home based timekeepers 2 or 3 years ago. All of the officials, including timekeepers are now paid by the ACC.

UVA actually committed less than half of the 17 they were called for, but everytime someone looks mean at one of the Duke p@#sies the refs blow the whistle.

UVA beat Duke and the refs last night. It was a beautiful thing to watch.

I had a 7:00 flight out of Tampa, woke up at 4:30...

Duke completely choked that game away. They led from the time it was tied 4-4, and then didn't score a FG in OT or the final last minutes.

I was a little peeved ESPN didn't have footage of the Duke Victory from U-Hall in 2002... yeah, we rushed the court!

Anyways, that ended was awesome.... I was pretty mad they gave up an easy shot to the next Coach K's *****... anyone notice that Coach K fails to produce good coaches or players? I guess Battier has been good.... anyone else?

I was at the game and it was called pretty evenly, or as evenly as you are going to have a Duke game called. There were some non-calls both ways, so I would not have complained had Duke won.

There was a lot of things Duke was doing on the offensive end, moving screens and push-offs that were not called, but there was also some of that from Virginia. I think both coaches realized what was going to be called and built their strategy around it. I know a lot of it probably did not show up on TV, but it was a really physical game.

All I have to say is even on an off night, Sean Singletary is the man. He and J.R. Reynolds have really been clutch recently.

The refs hardly ever make that call and they could call it multiple times on every team in every college game. I've gotten over them not calling it.

It wa a great game last night, although I was yelling at UVA in the first half because they weren't playing smart. They had a number of opportunities to get in front, but made bad decisions.

Basketball is a lot more fun when you focus on the games rather than the refs. Both teams could have won, UVA did Dook two points better.

This is what drove me nuts about the NBA Finals this past season. People took all of the fun out of it with complaints that were going nowhere fast.
