Well, after you play the superbowl; the next season sometimes you have a letdown.
This year, the Seahawks fell to 9-7 but made the playoffs; losing to the Bears. The Superbowl Champions:Steelers didn't even make the playoffs.
I think the Bears are more likely to suffer the post superbowl blues than the Colts- even if Dungy retires. I think Grossman will be benched for good at some point next year.

i thought what was interesting that both of the past 2 champs won the superbowl 1 yr after their supposed time to win..
15-1 steelers lost to pats, and then following year win superbowl
i think 14-2 colts last year were suppose to win, and then following year win superbowl
is next year for the chargers winning the superbowl

The real question is who will be on the cover of Madden!

With Grossman at QB, the Bears could very well suffer the fate of oh so many recent SB losers.
I wouldnt be surprised in the least if they dont make the playoffs next season.

Nope. Chargers will not make the playoffs. A big reason for their success this season, is now the head coach of the Dolphins.
Actually, the Dolphins were supposed to be playing in Miami-so maybe Miami goes to Phoenix next year; so they can lose to us!

In '02 the Bears managed to go 3-13 (or maybe 4-12) after going 13-3 the previous year, so its possible.
The game looked promising in the first quarter but then degenerated. The weather made the Colts offense go from explosive to merely efficient, but rendered the Bears offense useless. After the way the Colts dominated stat-wise, I would've been pissed if somehow the Bears had pulled it out. Congrats to Dungy and Manning.

Bears will be waiting another 21 years to make an appearance in a Super Bowl.

I think the Bears will definitely go in another direction at QB. Grossman was scrutinized for most of this season and his performance in the Super Bowl really casts some uncertainty about his future with the team. Briggs may also be looking for a big payday from somebody else. The Colts may be set if they can bring Freeney back because they already have Manning, Harrison, and Wayne in the fold for years to come.

Bears fans should lobby for it to be Grossman that way he will be out after the curse takes effect and they don't have to worry about him throwing picks any more.
